We will attach those plates to sticks to put into straw bales for display. The cow heads can be colored or they can be made by cutting out parts and pasting them on the plates. CREATIVE WRITING SHORT STORY OR POEM 1 entry per youth, typed and double spaced on 8 ½ x 11 paper, no longer than 3 pages in length. 7. JEWELRY Entry can be a necklace and earring set, or bracelet and necklace set, or individual pieces. 8. CULINARY ARTS 3 to 6 items cookies or cupcakes per entry, placed on 7 to 9 paper plate, covered with plastic wrap or in sealable plastic bag. Index card with recipe needs to be turned in with entry form. 1 cake or pie per entry on paper plate wrapped with plastic wrap, with recipe. 9. SEWING NEEDLEWORK CROCHETING KNITTING 1 item per entry per youth, marked with name on card. 10. POTTERY AND CERAMICS 1 item per youth. 11. PRESERVED FOODS/CANNED FOODS Jams, Jellies, Preserves, Pickles, Relish, BBQ sauce all in 6-8 ounce jars, labeled as to what they are. You must use either water bath method or pressure canned method. On label, tell what item is, what method was used and processing time. Place your name on bottom of jar. No paraffin seals. Use mason jars for this division. Leave headspace in jar of ¼ inch. 12. FLORAL Exhibitor s choice specify theme, and old time country bouquet or nosegay. No artificial flowers or foliage, or fresh fruits or vegetables in the floral arrangements.
