Christmas 2016 Christmas Eve, Saturday 24th December 2016 We will be waiting to welcome you to the hotel after your journey, long or short, with a mulled cider and a delicious Cornish cream tea in the Lounge Bar. Settle in to your room and meet us from 7pm, to join in a champagne and canapé reception, whilst enjoying seasonal tones of Christmas carols performed by the Youth Brass Band before heading into the restaurant to dine. After dinner, join in the festivities with a truly enchanting experience, as we are joined by an up close magician. Prepare to be amazed! Christmas Day, Sunday 25th December 2016 Wake up to enjoy a full and hearty Cornish breakfast, complimented by a celebratory glass of sparkling bucks fizz. After which you can enjoy a stroll along the sea front, or take in a few of the local sights as you relax into your stay. Our traditional Christmas lunch will be served from 12.30pm until 3pm. In the afternoon, we will adhere to tradition and broadcast the Queens speech. For our guests who have chosen to dine later, the speech will be repeated. During which we will serve our Head Chef s delicious home-made Christmas cake. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent as you wish, but further entertainment will be on offer in the form of a treasure hunt, festive quiz and merry music played by a live pianist in the Castle Beach Restaurant. From the early evening we will be serving with a light buffet, if you still have a little room to spare! Followed by in-house entertainment that is both easy and enjoyable, we will be showing one of cinema s all time seasonal classics with soft, comfortable seating in the Camellia with complimentary popcorn and waiting service. Boxing Day, Monday 26th December 2016 Start Boxing Day with a delicious Cornish breakfast then the day is yours to do as you wish. Enjoy a gentle stroll along the South West coastal path to Swanpool beach and take in the beautiful views or how about sightseeing in nearby Truro? Where you can see the city's cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and the Hall for Cornwall. Lunch will be a festive buffet, served in the Castle Beach Restaurant, and available until 2pm. Later, delicious home-made cakes will be available in the bar throughout the afternoon, served alongside a warm mulled wine. The day will come to close with a 3 course menu, accompanied by a Jazz duo so you can dance the night away. New Year 2016 Friday 30th December 2016 Arrive at your leisure from 3pm, relax in the lounge bar and gently ease yourself into your stay with us. As we have our very own Elemis Spa at the hotel, you might consider booking in for treatment to get you party ready for the celebrations ahead. Join us for drinks this evening ahead of a wonderful 3 course dinner in the Castle Beach Restaurant. For that extra special touch, you will be served an aperitif and amuse bouche at your table prior to dinner. After which, relax in the lounge bar with a drink and enjoy the sounds of the 1940s with Andy Marshall. New Year s Eve, Saturday 31st December 2016 Start the day the Cornish way with a wonderful hearty breakfast. After, the day is yours to do as you please, take a stroll across the bay... Meander into town... Relax at the spa, or enjoy a dip in our indoor pool, or bubble away the day in the hot tub. Activities such as games and quizzes will be laid on during the afternoon as will a delicious light buffet. Our evening celebrations get underway early with a cocktail drinks reception. At 7.30pm our Piper will lead you into the Castle Beach Restaurant for a fabulous 5 course gala dinner, after which you can dance the night away with our live band and DJ, taking time, of course, to countdown to midnight and toast the New Year. At The Falmouth Hotel, we really know how to put on a show, so shortly after the clock strikes twelve, we will invite you outside to spectate our first fabulous fireworks display of 2017.
