Bacio Della Luna winery specializes in only sparkling wines, located in the heart of the DOCG Prosecco region, at the foothills of Cartizze, in Vidor Italy. The scenery of the region is regarded by many as one of the most beautiful in not only Italy but the world. The cost of land is one of the highest in the wine industry. One hectare in Cartizze can push north of 2 million. www.baciodellaluna.it

The wines
Expression of the excellence from Bacio Della Luna of DOCG, the Cartizze is the Cru of the appellation, a millesimato (vintage) selection. The Glera grapes in Cartizze sit at a higher elevation, up to 500 meters, in a area of 110 hectares in total. Late harvest and the rocky soil composition leads to a Prosecco that has a fragrant nose of flowers and fresh fruit. The taste of toasted bread, creme brulee with persistent, pleasant acidity, high in mineral notes, setting this example of Cartizze apart from the rest. 11% alcohol, 20 g/l. www.baciodellaluna.it
Estate Prosecco DOC, 100% Glera grapes. Proprietary yeast and filtration is the same for both examples. Only a longer process in the Charmat method to achieve Brut status is the difference. Brut is bright and fruity, with lovely tightly packed bubbles. Finish is dry and refreshing, with notes of apple and peach. 11% alc. 9 g/l Ex Dry delicate bubbles, intense fresh fruit nose, more minerality complex on the finish. 11% alc. 15 g/l www.baciodellaluna.it
Bacio Della Luna Pinot Rose Brut is a Cuvee wine, made with 100% Pinot grapes, both Noir and some Blanc sourced through managing partners from Piave Valley and Tre Veneto. Though not Prosecco (There is no such thing as Rose Prosecco), The Pinot Rose is the show stopper of the range, and really shows the quality and fine details of what a sparkling wine should be. Light pink in color with coppery reflections, creamy foam. It is characterized by fruity berry aromas and soft violet notes. In the mouth it is fresh and bubbly, well-rounded. 11 % alc 9 g/l www.baciodellaluna.it
To be called Prosecco, a wine must have at least 85% Glera grapes, sourced in the Valdobbiadene & Conegliano or in the Veneto, Friuli designated DOC/DOCG region But great Italian sparkling wines do not end with Prosecco. Both Bacio Della Luna Cuvee (winemakers blend) and Blanc de Blancs (more equal parts white grapes) use Glera, Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, and other white grapes from the Veneto region to create lovely, very floral, great tasting sparkling wines that deliver tremendous value. 11% alc. 14 to 15 g/l Both of these wines carry a lot of the same characteristics as Prosecco DOC, but since they are so budget friendly, can make great aperitif cocktail wines. www.baciodellaluna.it
