Charles Melton Wines Dry farmed, handcrafted fine Barossa red wines Since the first vintage of Charles Melton Wines in 1984, this small Barossa Valley winery has gained both national and international recognition for its premium red table wines. The wines span the range from a light red, The Rose of Virginia, through to Australia s premier Rhone-style red, Nine Popes. Charlie Melton also makes small quantities of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and is the only Australian producer of a vin-santo styled dessert wine, Sotto di Ferro. Great emphasis is placed on the quality of fruit, with all grapes dry grown and harvested from the winery s own 80 acres of prime Barossa vineyard land, as well as from a select group of grape-growers. Yields are extremely low (often only one tonne to the acre) and the vineyards are truly old with many exceeding 80 years and some well over a century in age. The Charles Melton Team invites you to join them at the winery for a private tasting of the Charles Melton Wines portfolio, a short winery tour and then lunch or cheese plate with a glass of wine while enjoying the serenity of the verandah of their Cellar Door. Choose one of these two memorable experiences: Charles Melton Private Experience with Cheese Plate. Murray Street Vineyards - The Importance of Oak Oak is not an ingredient, Wine is not a commodity, Winemaking is not a recipe. Andrew Seppelt Andrew and Vanessa Seppelt, co-founders of Murray Street Vineyards, would like to share an educational tasting experience highlighting the art of oak, with guests of The Louise. The Importance of Oak reflects Andrew and Vanessa s artisanal winemaking ethos. A visit to France resulted in a profound understanding of the painstaking approach to oak selection taking into consideration individual trees and forests, and the skill of the individual cooper, further strengthening their passion for a wholly artisanal approach to winemaking. This led the Seppelts to ask themselves how they could share these experiences and their appreciation for the craft of winemaking with their customers. The answer lay in The Importance of Oak, a hands-on, personal, and highly educational tasting experience delivered by Andrew using one significant wine benchmarked against a series of oak influences. Guests will be personally met by Andrew at The Tasting Room, and led into Murray Street Vineyards atmospheric stone constructed Barrel Theatre where five oak barrels sourced from individual cooperages each with unique oak characters, have been filled with the 2012 Gomersal Shiraz. Forest and tree selection, degrees of charring and seasoning, and the individual craftsmanship of each cooperage will be explored for their influence on the character of this single wine, for a true tree to glass experience. Guests will also enjoy a deluxe platter of local produce and take home a bottle of the 2012 Gomersal Shiraz. Held daily, by appointment only (maximum 10 people), $180 per person. Rusden Wines - Welcome to our family! The Rusden name is synonymous with quality and is unique in the way it operates. The vineyard and winery is 100% family owned and operated and the wines made on-site. They work and harvest their own vineyards to ensure that traditional viticultural practises are kept alive. The Rusden brand is comprised of ten wines; each made using traditional methods, producing small batches of the highest quality wine, indicative of the Vine Vale terroir. Their brand ethos is to over deliver in every category, from their classic blends to the iconic Sandscrub single vineyard Shiraz. It is a carefully thought out long term commitment to developing strong, loyal relationships with our customers and maintaining the traditions that make our wines so unique. As guests of The Louise you are invited to visit and be part of the Rusden family whilst enjoying their outstanding wines and wood fired pizzas. Tastings are intimately hosted by one of their family and are held in the den the walls of which have witnessed many special moments shared amongst family, friends and visitors to the Barossa. Corporate groups of up to 18 guests can enjoy a Gourmet Pizza lunch, cooked in Rusden s historic wood-fired oven, using seasonal Barossa produce, served alongside: Current release wines at $70 per person Museum wines at $90 per person Available for groups of 10-18 guests. 2 weeks prior booking notice is essential. Allow 2 hours.

Turkey Flat Vineyards Turkey Flat is more than just a vineyard and home of some the best Barossa wines, it is a family business that forms a vital part of the region s rich cultural history and heritage. It was here, on the banks of Tanunda Creek where bush turkeys once roamed, that pioneer Silesian settler Johann Friedrich August Fiedler planted the first Shiraz vines in 1847. His vines flourished and the land was bought in 1865 by Gottlieb Ernst Schulz, a successful butcher who established a thriving retail business among the vines. Butchering developed into dairying, but the vineyards were always kept, until Peter, a fourth generation Schulz, and his wife, Christie, made the transition from grape growing to winemaking. For guests of The Louise two unique experiences are on offer: Age vs Youth Master Class: Guests will be guided through a comparative tasting of key varietals including Grenache, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon or Mourvedre from two different vintages, one from the museum and one current release, followed by a tour of the winery and stroll to the 1847 Shiraz vineyard. Minimum 2, Maximum 20 guests. $45 per person Butchers Block Blending Session & Lunch: Guests are invited to create their own version of the Turkey Flat Butchers Block Shiraz / Grenache / Mourvedre blend. After being guided through the process and trialling 3 different blends of your own choice you will make a final blend which Turkey Flat will bottle for you to take home. Enjoy a tour of the winery and vineyards followed by a lunch of hand-made Barossa beef and Shiraz pie served with garden salad (vegetarian option available) in the Butchers Block tasting room accompanied by a glass of your own blend. Minimum 4, Maximum 20 guests. Allow 2 hours. $110 per person
