what is the modern irish experience? irish f&b outlets are renowned the world over for their unique hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. mcgettigan s has taken this formula and brought it into the modern age. mcgettigan s, is modern ireland. unique décor, delicious irish food & drink, the best irish & international entertainment and sporting events are the ingredients that have made mcgettigan s outlets such a success. this combination has seen mcgettigan s outlets become some of the most popular f&b outlets in the united arab emirates by recognition and business turnover. mcgettigan s vision is to bring this successful formula around the world over the coming years. 4
proud history, bright future in 2010 the mcgettigan family opened the five star bonnington hotel in dubai and shortly afterwards the first mcgettigan s outlet in jumeirah lakes towers. this first outlet became an instant hit and is one of dubai s busiest f&b outlets by turnover. since inception, five more outlets have opened at prime locations throughout the uae in dubai, abu dhabi and fujairah. in ireland, the first mcgettigan s launched in donegal in late 2013, followed closely by outlets in limerick, galway and bray, co. wicklow. worldwide expansion is now well under way with outlets now open in major international cities such as singapore, new york and london. further expansion is planned for the us, asia and the uk. 5
our style, our feel, our irish welcome! depending on location, the typical mcgettigan s outlet is between 3000 square feet and 6000 square feet in size. the design reflects the warmth of irish hospitality without the clutter that many irish f&b concepts have come to feature. the design team have developed a unique image for mcgettigan s incorporating the finest furnishings and innovative lighting in modern and cosmopolitan surroundings that are a move away from the traditional irish f&b concepts. mcgettigan s outlets can comfortably seat up to 300 guests indoors, with some venues boasting sizeable outdoor seating areas. 10
our staff & service at the heart of a mcgettigan s outlet is the staff and their commitment to ensuring that service is warm and efficient. a high level of staff training is undergone before any new outlet is opened to ensure that mcgettigan s high standards are maintained. a core team will work pre and post opening to bring the necessary high standards and training to each new outlet. in addition, managers for new outlets will spend an internship in one of the exisiting outlets to become an expert in how a mcgettigan s outlet is run. each mcgettigan s outlet employs a state-of-the-art delivery system to ensure that service is delivered efficiently and always with a warm welcome. 11
our food the kitchen team at mcgettigan s pride themselves on serving top class, award winning food. our menu includes classic dishes such as; burgers, beer battered fish and chips, the full irish breakfast and signature mcgettigan s favourites such as the buffalo hot wings, atlantic salmon and beef and guinness puff pastry pie. ireland is blessed with a temperate climate and is the greenest country in europe with lush grass and surrounded by clean waters. consequently this irish soil and surf helps produce some of the finest agricultural and marine produce on the planet. mcgettigan s menu takes these world class raw materials and transforms simple, classic dishes into something special. our menus are constantly reviewed to meet local tastes and changing eating habits but the high quality and flavour of our dishes remain constant. 12

our beverages ireland is world famous for its beers and whiskeys. the name of arthur guinness is known the world over and due to meticulous staff training, every mcgettigan s serves a perfect pint of guinness! each mcgettigan s outlet stocks a wide range of both the classic and the newer brands of irish whiskeys, ciders, ales and stouts. in addition, mcgettigan s stocks a wide range of other international beverage brands to suit all tastes and requirements. 14
music, comedy, sport & events! music - each outlet has a program of regular live music with occasional performances from international acts such as mary black, walking on cars, paul brady and the coronas - irish acts with international appeal. comedy - the annual mcgettigan s comedyfest in dubai has been a great success and will be expanded into our new locations. sport - all of the major football, rugby, gaelic games, nfl and cricket matches are catered for on state of the art screens. in addition, we cover horse racing and other events on a regular basis. theme nights - our famous quiz nights are hugely popular with a host of great prizes to be won. ladies night also feature prominently in the weekly lineup in our venues across the territories. 15
marketing & sponsorship sponsorships - we seek to complement focused local sponsorships such as gaa, rugby and league of ireland teams with international sponsorships such as that for irish golfer shane lowry. shane is a one time world championship winner and two time european tour winner who is currently ranked amongst the top golfers worldwide. social media - mcgettigan s has developed a strong presence on social media with thousands of followers on individual outlets facebook, twitter and instagram pages. this allows us regular and direct contact and interaction with our customers. mfm - is an innovative venture through the development of a digital radio station aimed at the global irish community but, with an international appeal. mfm is available for free download from the app store. merchandise - a full range of merchandise is available to each outlet and is being continuously refreshed and updated. website - www.mcgettigans.com is a one stop shop for everything you need regarding mcgettigan s. it features all our events, sporting fixtures, menus, history, news updates, mfm radio station and social media links. 16
