Spin North Newsletter A program proudly brought to you by Starpoint May 2016 Messages from the Director s Office This school year has really flown by! I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our parents for the wonderful support they have given this year. As we wrap up our school year and head into summer a couple quick reminders preschool only will be closed May 9 and the Center will be closed May 30. Nicole Francis, Center Director Infants: Its May, yay! Hello sunshine and sandals! Our infants love going outside so parents please check cubbies for weather appropriate clothes and footwear. If you have a preference of sunscreen feel free to provide some for your child. (No spray sunscreen permitted.) On warmer days we will be using a baby pool, so we request a package of swimmer diapers and swim wear for your child. We love play and look forward to this warmer weather. The color for May is blue. The shape is triangle. The baby sign for May is "more". Toddlers: Parent Please check your child s cubby daily as we will be sending home some project. This month we will be exploring about bugs and spring time. This means your child will need a change of clothes or some old clothes to get dirty. Ms. Kristin& Ms. Stephanie Ms. Becca and Ms. Netta
Preschool Room #2 Ms. Christine and Ms. Cat May will not only bring flowers but will bring a month of reflection and moving forward. Our focus this month will be to explore our favorite things about our class this year. We will also, as a team, help our graduates move forward to graduation. Have you heard about our warm fuzzy jar? The children have been working towards filling the jar with warm fuzzies (pom poms). When getting caught being a bucket filler they get to pick a fuzzy and put into the jar. When the jar is full the children will celebrate with a pizza, which they will make or ice cream sundae party. (Depending on the day they are here) More information to come later this month. Miss Christine and Miss Cat Preschool Room #3 Newsletter: It's our last full month of preschool. Wow has this school year flown by! As a class we are really working on how to fix our own problems between ourselves and our friends using different solutions. You may start seeing the problem/solution chart around the classroom as well as hearing your child talk about and refer to the chart. With the weather staying nice we will be doing more activities outside so please make sure your child is dressed appropriate for the weather. Please check with the teacher to see if a change of clothes is needed for your child as play will be happening more often. Room 6 Welcome to May! As we wrap up our last month of preschool I would like to thank all the families for welcoming me in mid-year of school. This month we will finish working on our social skills and be working on our graduation songs for the children that will be attending kindergarten in the fall. We will be planning some fun activities the wrap up the school year. Ms. Coley
