These days, the word sustainability is on everyone s lips. Originally, it was a concept in forestry that demanded that only as many trees be felled as are able grow back. With the raw materials cellulose and abacà as its main ingredients, Walsroder fibrous casings are certainly the most sustainable way to give form to sausages. Raw material: abacà (manilla) Classic raw material: wood Sustainably successful Walsroder s success story began all the way back in 1927 with the first artificial cellulose-based sausage casing. The highly successful Walsroder fibrous casing, a viscose-coated fibrous fleece, has been in production since 1956. These casings made from the renewable raw materials cellulose and abacà (Manila hemp) are constantly being updated in line with modern applications and processing techniques in the sausage industry. Walsroder fibrous casings fulfill all the requirements imposed on the manufacture of dry and semi-dry sausage, scalded and smoked cooked sausage as well as for dry cured and cooked cured meat products. Graduated levels of impregnation provide the individual product lines with the desired properties. High size consistency and good machinability along with the high mechanical strength, optimal curing properties and a natural appearance speak for themselves. Since Walsroder fibrous casings are permeable to smoke and water, they guarantee a quick reduction of the a w value, producing a pleasant smoky flavour. Peperoni Walsroder fibrous casings offer customised for different drying process. The casings offer the necessary size consistency for the production of pizza salami, even at high production speeds. Good machine peelability without being left to stand beforehand. Walsroder fibrous casings are the optimal casings for the production of smoked scalded sausage. Controlled drying and the high smoke permeability prevent the formation of a dry edge and guarantee a lovely smoky flavour. Walsroder fibrous casings are available with various surface finishes: silk-matt, shiny and matt. Walsroder FR The FR is the silk-matt model for dry sausage and many other sausage types. Variously graded impregnations guarantee custom. Walsroder FDR The Walsroder FDR provides the shiny surface desired for semi-dry goods. Walsroder FMR The naturally matt appearance of the FMR gives the sausage a fine, natural appearance and is therefore the perfect alternative to collagen casings and natur casings. Walsroder FMR offers the ideal cling base even with dipping coatings. Four fine designs to choose from As if it was made just for you There are four different patterns for the Walsroder fibrous casings: Salamidessin, Schimmeldessin, Tauchoptik and Noblesse. The four different print versions allow fine salami patterns without dipping or moulding of the sausage. This saves production costs whilst giving the consumer a fine appearance together with easy and clean peeling.
