Brewer Assembly Assembly Remove all contents from the brewer. Do not disturb the diffuser ring at the bottom. Attach both air supply lines to the pump. Attach the ends of the air supply lines to the T-connectors on the diffuser ring. For easier cleanup, stretch the strainer bag over the brewer rim. The use of the strainer bag is optional. For a richer brew, place ingredients directly into the brewer. bucket strainer bag water level dual hoses plastic tabs air pump diffuser Humisoil and Bioactivator Bountea can be brewed in any aerated compost tea brewer. 9

Bountea Brewing Instructions Fill brewer with CLEAN water for the desired brew size. Plug in the pump and aerate for 1 hour to purify and dechlorinate the water. Place the correct amount of Humisoil in the brewer. (See page 11) Place the correct amount of Bioactivator in the brewer. (See page 11) Brew for 24 to 48 hours between 60ºF and 85ºF. Stir the liquid a few times during brewing. Add Root Web, M3 or B3 for the last hour of brewing according to instructions. (See page 11) 10 www.bountea.com

Brewing Tips Basic Brewing Use pure water for brewing; chlorine and chloramine can negatively affect microbes. Aerate water for 1 hour before brewing. Humisoil and Bioactivator are added to every brew to make Bountea. Aerate the Bountea for 24 48 hours at temperatures between 60ºF and 85ºF. An optimum temperature is 75ºF or 24ºC. Bountea heaters are available upon request. Bountea often foams during brewing. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to reduce foam if needed. More Tips Add Root Web, M3 or B3 to Bountea during the last hour of brewing. Do not add M3 at the beginning; it may cause an anaerobic reaction. If you brew for more than 48 hours and up to 72 hours, add an extra ½ cup of Bioactivator per 4 of Bountea. Brew only the quantities you need. Keep Bountea aerated until used. Plan for application wtihin 6 hours after brewing. Bountea can be refrigerated for up to 2. Brew Kit Clean Up Rinse residue from brewer, diffuser, air tubes and strainer. If needed, disinfect with hydrogen peroxide solution, not bleach. Store brewer and all ingredients in a cool, dry place out of sunlight. Brewing Quantities Warning: Never use Bountea if it smells very sour or bad.
