Bristol Township Senior Center is funded, in part, under a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and the County of Bucks Monday, October 17 th Medicare Open Enrollment Kickoff. 11 AM Medicare Open Enrollment kickoff meeting for the beginning of Medicare Open Enrollment Season. Janine Slabicki, from Bucks County Area Agency on Aging is bringing several APPRISE counselors to help answer your questions about 2017 Medicare Enrollment. Open enrollment is from October 15 through December 7. See flyer before calendars for more information. Monday, October 17 th - Texas Roadhouse Fund Raiser- 4 10 PM to support the center. Texas Roadhouse is giving us 15% back for all sales, plus we will be selling raffle tickets for a 32 Flat Screen TV and Makita 18V Drill Kit (winners to be announced on Nov 8 th ). You will also be able to purchase $5 Boscov s Friends Helping Friends Pass. Plan now and don t miss this fun event!! Also register names of deceased veterans for a reading of names at the memorial ceremony. Tuesday, Nov 8 th Homemade Thanksgiving Dinner - Sponsored by Youth Service Agency and ShopRite at 11:00am. Must be a paid up member to attend. Friday, Nov 11 th Veteran s Day. Center closed for the holiday. Friday, Nov 11 th - Thanksgiving Ballroom Dance Social with Greg Albert 7:30 PM. $10 per person. Please bring a non-perishable Thanksgiving type food donations to the Social. These Items will be used in our Thanksgiving Holiday Food outreach for our Grandparents Raising Grandkids in our area. Thursday, Nov 17 th - The Endoscopy Center at St. Mary presents Speak Your Piece with Pat Wandling, a health and wellness series on WBCB 1490AM will be broadcasting live at 12pm. Come out at 11:30 a.m. for a FREE lunch, meet and greet with former Phillies pitcher Tommy Greene, and enter to win some great door prizes! Health topics and tips will be discussed during the hour-long show as you enjoy your lunch. You will also have a chance to ask the panel your own health-related questions on-air or after the broadcast. Pre-register by Thursday, November 10 th by calling the center. We hope to see you there! Produce Pick Up - Fresh produce come in around 1:30 PM at the center on Tuesdays. Various produce items come in and we want to make sure that it gets to you as fresh as possible. This will make our volunteers who are picking up the produce happy to know it is being distributed as fresh as possible. This also happens occasionally on Thursdays but please call the center first. When you do come to pick up produce, please bring your own CLEAN reusable bags. ShopRite Receipts We are still collecting ShopRite receipts here at the center. Please place your receipts in the container by the bookkeepers office. C.A.R.E.S. Program The Community League of St. Marry Medical Center offers durable medical equipment and supplies 100% Free to area residents. They are located in the Pine Watson Shopping Center in Langhorne. Please call them at 215-710-2027 to donate or receive gently used medical equipment.
