Relative cost of study in Orvieto (resident)* All-inclusive cost to study abroad in Orvieto, Italy: $ 15,980 All-inclusive cost of one semester in Tucson, resident: $ 12,372 The additional cost to study in Orvieto: $ 3,608 The difference of $3608 covers an entire semester in Orvieto! Consider that one single-week vacation in Italy could easily cost $3000 or more. * Based on U of A estimates. See appendix for detailed information.
Relative cost of study in Orvieto (non-resident)* One semester in Tucson, non-resident: $20,462 Study abroad in Orvieto, Italy: $15,980 $$$ saved by studying in Orvieto: $ 4,482 A non-resident would actually save $4482 by studying in Orvieto, because the cost of study abroad in Orvieto is the same for all students! * Based on U of A estimates. See appendix for detailed information.

Appendix www.arizonainitaly.org UA Total Cost Estimates for study in Italy https://arizona.terradotta.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=programs.budgetsheet&term=spring&program_id=10077
Appendix www.arizonainitaly.org Cost University of Arizona 2011-2012 resident and non-resident tuition and expenses in Tucson (http://financialaid.arizona.edu/money/estimated-cost): 1 Semester at UA (resident) = $ 12,372 1 Semester at UA (non-resident) = $ 20,462 The University of Arizona estimates the all-inclusive cost of a semester during the 2012/2013 school year for a resident student living in U of A housing at $12,372 (totals derived by dividing in half the estimated cost for the whole school year). For the Spring 2013 semester in Orvieto, the all-things-considered cost is estimated at $15,980. A semester in Orvieto, therefore, amounts to $3608 more than a semester in Tucson. Consider that the cost of a vacation to Italy for a week or two could easily eclipse that amount and that the additional cost secures a semester-length experience of a lifetime in Italy. Students paying out of state tuition would actually save money by studying in Orvieto, because study abroad tuition is the same for all students!
