CONCLUSIONS: 1. Although the Great Wall may have kept invaders at bay for more than two hundred years during the Ming Dynasty, China eventually was ruled by both the Mongals (During the Yuan Dynasty that preceded the Ming Dynasty) and the Manchus (During the Qing Dynasty that followed the Ming Dynasty).
