You ll need some icing color, available as a thick, concentrated paste or as a thinner gel paste. Stay away from old-fashioned liquid food coloring it can ruin the consistency. Work fondant into a ball. It should be soft and pliable. Add dots of color. Drop them from the bottle if you re using gel paste, or apply with the end of a toothpick if you re using the concentrated stuff. Blend. Simply knead the fondant until it s a consistent color.
