TERMS & CONDITIONS CAKEAGE The Maylands Hotel welcomes you to bring your own cake to help celebrate your functions. Our friendly kitchen staff will serve your cake for $3.50 per head. AUDIO VISUAL We are able to provide you with in- house audio visual equipment to cater to your functions needs at no extra charge. In the event that you should require additional equipment, we can arrange this equipment on your behalf for an additional cost. DECORATING Decorations for your event and room are entirely up to you, aside from a few simple rules: No decorations are to be applied to any wall and no confetti or table scatterings. The Maylands must be notified in advance of any displays, signage and decorations to be used. DEPOSIT & CONFIRMATION A deposit of $500.00 is required for all function and due within 7 days of booking. The deposit is the room hire fee and will be confirmation of your booking. All tentative dates not confirmed within 7 days will then be made available. MENU & PRICE CHANGES All prices and products quoted are subject to availability and may change without notice. FINAL NUMBERS To enable us to correctly cater for your function, final numbers, menu choices and all dietary requirements must be confirmed 10 working days prior to your function. This is for the minimum number of guests for which you will be charged. Any additional numbers will be charged accordingly on the night PAYMENT Payment for the function must be settled on or before the function date. The Maylands Hotel accepts payment by cash, Visa, MasterCard or Amex. Payment with Amex will incur a 2.5% surcharge. With prior arrangement we can accept payment by direct debit or company cheques, however no personal cheques will be accepted. CANCELLATION Confirmed bookings cancelled 21 days or less prior to the function will lose their full deposit. Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the function will lose full payment. LICENSING Guests under the age of 18 are permitted to be on the Hotel premises when in the company of a parent or guardian but must vacate by midnight. Organizers of the function will be held responsible for all guests under 18 years. Liquor must not under any circumstances be supplied to a minor. Staff will refuse to serve alcohol to any guests unable to show suitable proof of age ID e.g. Proof of age card, Drivers License or Passport. Management and staff practice Responsible Service of Alcohol and thus reserve the right to refuse service to anyone showing anti-social behaviour or signs of intoxication. All inclusive drink packages are subject to the Maylands Hotel liquor licensing management plan service standards. RESPONSIBILITY Organisers are financially responsible for any damage or breakage sustained to the Hotel or equipment hired by the Maylands Hotel on the organizers behalf, by the organizer or any of their guests. The Maylands Hotel will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal effects left within the Hotel during or after the function. CLEANING General cleaning is included in the cost of your function, however if cleaning requirements are excessive, additional charges will be incurred. If candles are to be used and wax is found on any surface area which requires a professional cleaner to fix the surface, you will be charged accordingly.
