Here s what I suggest regarding timing to make that breakfast stress-free. Week Before Mother s Day Decide which recipe(s) from this book you want to make for Mom and ask either Mom or Dad to buy the ingredients. Mother s Day Morning When Mom wakes up, make her coffee (pages -3) or tea (pages 4-6). Easy & Safe-To-Make Instant Coffee TIP: This is the safest and easiest way I know to make instant coffee that also uses a minimal amount of equipment. I suggest just waiting until Mom s awake before you make the coffee so that it s warm when she s ready drink it. And don t worry about making the coffee steaming hot. The most important thing is your effort and thought. Mom or Dad can always warm the coffee again later. Ingredients Mom s Favorite Instant Coffee Sugar Milk Canned Whipped Cream (optional) Equipment Microwave Oven Safe Cup Teaspoon Microwave Oven (insert picture)
. Pour as much cold water () into a microwave oven safe cup as shown in (). 3. When water finishes cooking, carefully touch the cup handle to check if it is cool enough to hold safely. You can always leave the cup in the microwave oven for a minute or two until it is safe to touch. Then hold the cup by the handle to remove it from the microwave oven (), and......depending on how Mom likes her coffee, add - teaspoons of instant coffee (), ½ - teaspoon of sugar (3) and a good shot of milk (4).. I used blueberries, raspberries & blackberries because they taste great together and don t have to be cut with a knife. Preparation Time: 5-0 minutes Ingredients (per single serving) Handful of Fresh Berries (your choice of blueberries, raspberries & blackberries) Mom s Favorite Yogurt Jam Canned Whipped Cream Equipment Colander Teaspoon Tablespoon Bowl

Cereal with Yogurt, Dried Fruit & Banana 9 TIP: Cereal with yogurt, dried fruit & banana is easy to make and fully soul-satisfying. To avoid soggy cereal, I recommend pouring the milk in a separate container, like the coffee mug shown above, so that Mom can add the milk right before she eats the cereal. Preparation Time: 5 minutes Ingredients Mom s Favorite Cereal Milk Mom s Favorite Yogurt Dried Fruit (I m using raisins & dried cranberries, but any dried fruit will work) Ripe Banana Equipment Cereal Bowl Coffee Cup (for milk) Tablespoon Table Knife

Toaster Waffles with Maple Syrup or Other Exciting Toppings TIP: Toaster waffles are incredibly quick & easy to make and can be topped with either traditional butter (or margarine) and maple syrup or some very fun and flavorful different toppings as shown on pages 3-5. Preparation Time: 5-0 minutes depending on choice of topping. Ingredients Waffle Butter or Margarine Maple Syrup (or see p. 3 for Waffles with Chocolate Spread & Whipped Cream, p. 4 for Waffles with Cream Cheese & Jam, or p. 5 for Waffles with Whipped Cream & Bananas) Equipment Toaster or Toaster Oven Table Knife Plate
