Grant Burge Wines was established by Grant and his wife Helen in 1988. Located in the heart of the Barossa it is famous around the world for its Ultra Premium Sparkling, Fortified and Table wines. At Grant Burge Wines we believe the diversity of terroir, plus the Mediterranean climate of the region provide the perfect environment to make a range of ultra premium wines. Located just 80 kilometres north of South Australia s capital city Adelaide, the Barossa also provides a perfect weekend escape for tourists and locals alike to enjoy fine wines and food. Meshach: Our flagship wine, named after Grant s Great Grandfather, is a true Barossa Shiraz sourced from many vines over 90 years old. Carefully handcrafted and aged before release. Proudly boasting an OUTSTANDING Langton s Classification rating. Shadrach: the epitome of Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced predominately from the Corryton Park Vineyard high in the Eden Valley. Abednego: the Rhone style blend of Shiraz, Grenache & Mourvèdre completes the Icon trilogy. Handcrafted from some of the oldest bush vine, dry grown vineyards in the Barossa with the average age close to 110 years old. Etched in history and tradition, this elegant trio of luxury wines will reward with the patience of careful cellaring and should be enjoyed on special occasions.

As one might expect, this very experienced industry veteran makes consistently good, full- flavoured and smooth wines based on the pick of the crop of his extensive vineyard holdings. 2005 Abednego Shiraz Grenache Mourvèdre97 points. The outstanding feature of this French-oak matured wine is its extreme length and its silken line of spicy flavour. It really is world class, as is the back label. 2009 Corryton Park Cabernet Sauvignon 96 points Good colour, deep but clear; this is one of those wines combining power and finesse, intense blackcurrant fruit with silky tannins and a long finish. From one of the highest vineyards in the Eden Valley. 2008 Meshach Shiraz95 points. Full crimson-purple; from the estate s 85-year-old Filsell Vineyard, the wine matured for two years in new American and French oak hogsheads, and a further two years in the cellar prior to release. 2009 Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon95 Points. Barrel and bottle ageing has led to the first stages of colour change; overall this cabernet sauvignon has remarkable synergy to its flavour, structure and texture inputs, resulting in a supple, ultra-smooth and beautifully balanced exercise in blackcurrant/cassis fruit.
