TO MY JENNA MARIE CUSTOMERS. Jenna maries has for the past few weeks has had to refuse some delivery orders because of circumstances beyond our control. The city of Stamford in an effort to show that the government does not have a clue about running a city or a business has given four separate permits for street work all within 300 yards of my business. Summer street and broad street look like parking lots at lunch time. We have said to you our customers we can t deliver for as you know for 23 years we have prided ourselves on deliveries on Marine Corps time which is 15 minutes early. I will not take your order and promise a delivery that I don t think will be on time just for the sake of increasing the volume of business. For those of you who understand, thank you. For those of you who don t I apologize and thank you for your past business. I have called the engineering department of the city and asked why some of this work can t be done in the evening, their response, neighbors complain about the noise. My response to them was those neighbors chose to live in a city and noise is part of the culture. I also told them those neighbors have been here three years and I was here when tumble weed was rolling down summer street 23 years ago. Anyway, my venting is over.
