Cable Bay Vineyards is an award-winning winery with two restaurants, private event spaces and a cellar door situated on the stunning west coast of Waiheke Island. Nestled amongst vineyards and olive trees, with a vast outdoor lawn framing stunning sea views, Cable Bay offers an idyllic setting for your wedding ceremony, photos and reception. Just 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland, our venue offers numerous flexible spaces to host a truly unique wedding catering from 10 through to 220 guests. 1
An outdoor ceremony at Cable Bay provides a magnificent backdrop for exchanging your wedding vows, overlooking breath-taking ocean views of the Hauraki Gulf. Whether you choose to have a summer, autumn, winter or spring wedding, the ever changing colours of the vineyards provide a stunning setting for your wedding photos. Indoor spaces include our two elegant restaurants and two private event rooms, each offering unique features to create the perfect atmosphere on your wedding day. S PA C E S D I N I N G W E D D I N G T H E R O O M Seats up to 100 guests, cocktail or canapé-style up to 150 guests. Our elegant, yet relaxed, Dining Room has large windows that open out to stunning views across the lawn and the bay. This spectacular reception room was renovated by award-winning architects, Fearon Hay. With pendant atmospheric lighting and banquet tables, you can opt to create your own look by adding your own styling or simply enjoy the room s minimalist elegance. A crackling fire-place creates a cosy haven in winter and the large folding doors open out onto the lawn during summer, welcoming warm sea breezes. The room features a custom built cellar showcasing a display of Cable Bay wines to select while you dine. 3
S PA C E S W E D D I N G T H E V E R A N D A H Seats up to 120 guests, cocktail or canapé-style up to 300 guests. Contemporary and stylish, the Verandah offers stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf to Auckland City. This modern space has a refreshing indoor-outdoor flow with sliding screens that open up onto the lawn. The soft white ceiling drapes contrast beautifully with sleek, white marble tables, and the area is sheltered and heated, offering comfor t all year round. With an open kitchen and wood fired oven, the Verandah s atmosphere is vibrant and lively - perfect for a celebration. 4
S PA C E S M O T U K A H A W E D D I N G T H E R O O M Seats up to 36 guests, cocktail or canapé-style up to 50 guests. Named after Motukaha Island in the bay below, our bright and spacious Motukaha Room offers beautiful bushland and rural views through large windows. It benefits from a private balcony that connects to the Verandah, creating a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow and an additional space to relax in between courses. This freshly renovated room has an integrated sound system to create your own ambiance. 5
S PA C E S W I N E W E D D I N G T H E L I B R A RY Seats up to 16 guests, cocktail or canapé-style up to 30 guests. The Wine Library is a spectacular room to host a small wedding. Tucked away in our underground cellar, with views through to the stunning barrel hall, this opulent room creates a sense of occasion. Perfect for an intimate reception, this special space offers atmospheric lighting with the ornate chandelier above the dining table. Rich red carpets and lustrous cur tains add to the elegance and charm of this space. The room has an integrated sound system to create your own ambiance. You are also welcome to select one of our vintage wines from the cellar library itself. 6
S PA C E S W E D D I N G E X C L U S I V E U S E Seats up to 20 guests, (with an additional 52 seats in the Motukaha Room and Wine Library), cocktail or canapé-style up to 350 guests. You can choose to enjoy Cable Bay exclusively and hire both our Dining Room and Verandah restaurant spaces. If you have 120 guests or less, this option allows you to choose which restaurant to have your reception in. You then have the oppor tunity to utilise the other spaces to host your ceremony in the unlikely event of bad weather, or as your dance floor space towards the end of the evening. If your guest numbers are 150 or more you could make use of both spaces for your guests, or opt for a cocktail or canapé-style event. 7

Our wedding ceremony package can be added to your reception at Cable Bay Vineyards and includes: Set up of 9m charcoal coloured carpet for ceremony site Set up of 20 outdoor chairs for the ceremony Set up registry signing table and chair Alternative indoor ceremony space in case of adverse weather An experienced Event Manager to help plan your day On-site one hour wedding rehearsal hosted by our Event Manager. 8

As well as the pictureque rural setting, you can enjoy our award-winning wines and savour the passion that goes into each bottle. At Cable Bay, our winemaking philosophy is to hand-craft wines with their own unique and individual personality to capture the drinker s imagination. To achieve this, we grow grapes in our own, carefully selected vineyards in the most desirable locations of New Zealand; Waiheke Island and Marlborough. Our first vineyard was planted on Waiheke Island in 1998 with Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties. Now we grow more than 10 different varieties across New Zealand including Syrah, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Since our inaugural vintage, we have received numerous awards and accolades authenticating our commitment to quality. 10
W I N E S B AY D R I N K S C A B L E A R R I VA L You may like to treat your guests to a warm welcome, with trays of bubbles on arrival. We have a list of elegant sparkling wines and Champagnes for you to choose from. You can also opt for refreshing summer drinks like Pimms or our homemade lemonade. For cooler season weddings, there s no warmer welcome than an aromatic glass of mulled wine or a hot toddy on arrival. W I N E TA S T I N G A wonderful way to enter tain your guests while you have your photos taken is to set up a wine tasting island for your guests to enjoy alongside canapés on the lawn. Our wine exper ts can explain how each of the wines you have selected have been made on-site, explain a little about our wine making philosophy and chat through any questions they may have. It is a fun way to get your guests mingling and also gives them the oppor tunity to select what they might like to enjoy with their meal. C U I S I N E E X Q U I S I T E F O O D P H I L O S O P H Y Our talented Head Chef, Max Larbiose has designed sophisticated menus offering fresh, vibrant and beautifully plated dishes which showcase seasonal produce from our on-site organic kitchen gardens. Max, who trained in a Michelin starred restaurant in France draws on his classical background to create his culinary masterpieces. There is an unmistakeable French influence, which he elegantly combines with New Zealand cuisine resulting in award-winning dining experiences. Our chefs champion a garden-to-table philosophy, hand picking the freshest, seasonal vegetables, herbs, edible flowers and micro greens from our organic kitchen gardens to accompany premium meat cuts and fresh seafood from the very best local producers. Taking inspiration from our own wines and Waiheke Island s terroir, the focus is on flavour and technique - allowing the quality ingredients to speak for themselves. 13
C U I S I N E E X Q U I S I T E C A N A P É S Whether you are having your ceremony at Cable Bay or off-site we have a couple of options for you and your guests whilst you enjoy a glass of wine and mingle on the lawn. Our delicate canapés are the perfect way to whet the appetite either on arrival, after your ceremony or whilst your photos are being taken. Picture perfect and bursting with flavour, these bite-sized treats will keep your guests satisfied. We can also set up a charcuterie station displayed on wooden wine barrels, with a mix of our platters to graze from if you choose. R E C E P T I O N D I N I N G Whatever the dining style, our exquisite cuisine is sure to impress your beloved guests. We are able to customise your dining experience to suit your style of wedding you may want roaming canapés, a buffet, a sharing-style menu or a plated menu we have a number of options to choose from. If small bites are your preference, we recommend our Canapé Menu which offers a savoury and sweet mix of lighter and more substantial canapés, timed throughout the evening. Alternatively, you can choose to offer your guests a Buffet Menu. Presented as an appetising spread across one or multiple stations, guests can help themselves and dine at their leisure. We also offer a family-style Sharing Menu which is a great option to interact with all your friends and family. This menu is served on the tables for everyone to share together, and works par ticularly well in our Verandah with its mix of booth-seating and open-plan dining. A more traditional option is our beautifully crafted and individually plated three course menu. Our chefs demonstrate complex techniques, using the finest ingredients to tantalise your taste buds. 14
C U I S I N E D E S S E RT Our staff are happy to cut your cake and plate this for your guests. If you d like some of the cake saved for you to take away, we are more than happy to arrange this for you. If you are not having a wedding cake or desser t, you might like to have a Cheese Station for you and your guests to nibble on for the remainder of the evening. We serve a selection of fine New Zealand and international cheeses, along E X Q U I S I T E A F T E R with gourmet accompaniments including chutneys, wafers, crackers and candied walnuts. Ask our Event Manager about our cheese cake alternatives if you would like to create a savoury spectacle, instead of the traditional wedding cake. L AT E N I G H T B I T E S Later on in the evening you and your guests might feel a little peckish. A popular choice that we recommend is pre-ordering a selection of late night bites. Pizzas from our wood-fired oven, sliders or platters are tasty options for a late night feast. Our Event Manager can supply each of our menus for you to peruse on request. 15
