Discovering what scents best suit your personality and interests can be a delightful experience. Numerous items can have fragrance added to them to enhance your environment including: Candles Sachets Potpourri Personal Care Home care Decorative Accessories Most scents have characteristics or profiles that describe their personality. On the next several pages are descriptions of various scents and their characteristics: Bergamot Characteristics: Sweet, fresh citrus with spicy, floral undertones. WORDS TO CONSIDER The way to health is to have an aromatic bath and a scented massage every day. - Hippocrates Geranium Characteristics: A soft, uplifting and comforting scent with a rose aroma and mint undertones. Lemongrass Characteristics: A vibrant lemony aroma that is sweet and refreshing. Sweet Orange Characteristics: A cheerful and warming scent with sweet, light, and floral aroma that adds a fruity note to fragrance blends. Grapefruit Characteristics: A happy scent with a sweet, warm fresh and tangy uplifting aroma that makes one feel good. Juniper Berry Characteristics: A strong purifying fresh, fruity, woody, pine-needle like aroma. Whether its by the seashore, in a forest or high in the mountains, there are distinct scents that are encountered. The perfume industry has tried to capture not only the fragrance of these different places, but the emotions they create. Think about the names given to fragrances and then ask yourself - What image, emotion or character are they trying to capture?

Go through each category and mark the words that would describe things you like the most. Total up the number of responses under each category. Then look on page 9 to see which scent(s) might best address your preferences. There may have more than one scent that may appeal to you. In this case you can select fragrances from all of those categories. We have also provided suggestions for patterns, fabrics, the mood the scents create, accessories and even packaging ideas for certain scent preferences. This Inventory is just for fun and guidance.
