Christmas Customs of the 18 th Century and Carol Sing - 11:00 am 2. The More the Merrier Ensemble Recital - 6:00 PM Morning 11:00 am Program presenrted by Trip Wiggins on Christmas Customs of the 17 th /18 th Centuries. Local historian, Trip Wiggins portrays an 18 th -century Fredericksburg person. He and his wife, Myra founded the Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society 18 years ago. His goal is to bring to life the day-to-day things that made up life in colonial Virginia. Christmas Carol Sing-a-long: Carols of the 17 th -18 th century led by Elin Havrilla Lunch catered by Panera: Lunch will be $8 per person Open to members and guests. 10:15 am - Setup committee: Ann Cooper, Elizabeh Kennedy and Nackie Steinbach. Details: RMS Junior Recitals Central Rappahannock Regional Library FOR BOYS ONLY Open to Boys only, any choice of repertoire THE MORE THE MERRIER December 11, 2017 6:00 PM Open to all Juniors, Ensembles only, Festive music GOLD CUP RECITAL Open only to Juniors who have earned at least one gold cup at the NFMC Junior Festival Audition in Manassas NATIONAL MUSIC WEEK RECITAL Open to all Juniors- No restrictions on repertoire Entrants are referred to as NFMC Junior Members and should be students 19 and under or have not completed high school, whichever comes last. Juniors should perform works that have been taught or supervised by the teacher. Each teacher may submit up to four entries. (an ensemble is one entry) Teachers should choose performances that fit the guidelines of each recital theme. Entrants perform solos from memory; ensembles usually perform with musical scores. Teachers should discuss appropriate recital attire with each entrant. Dressy Recital Attire recommended Performers will be given assigned seats. They should report to Sandra B. Anderson 20 mins beforerecital begins for seating assignments and program procedure. If students know this when arriving, we will not have to search the room at the last minute to find out if they are present. The recital program and certificates will always be printed 4 days before the recital therefore cancellations should be received before that time. No refunds after the program and certificates have been printed 4 days before the recital. You may send your entries by email but if it is not sent on the official form with your signature the form still needs to be received by the deadline. If a student agrees to perform, he or she must agree to stay until the end of the recital. Leaving before the recital is over is not expected behavior and is in poor taste. Teachers are expected to bring baked goods for the reception, arranged on a container for serving. Just as a reminder, we will not be responsible for dishes left after clean-up time

Each recital has a unique theme: For Boys Only The More The Merrier Gold Cup Recital National Music Week Recital Your teacher has selected you to participate in the. The date for this recital is. The location for the recital is the Central Rappahannock Regional Library at 1201 Caroline Street. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the recital. Recital Time is. The attire for the recital is dressy recital attire. If you are unsure as to what this means, please discuss attire with your teacher. Performers will have assigned seats. The front rows on the left side of the theater will have your name on your program in your assigned seat to indicate where you are to sit. (questions: check in with Sandra Anderson, the chairperson for the recitals.) If you agree to perform, you must agree to stay until the end of the recital. Leaving before the recital is over is not expected behavior and is in poor taste. Performers are arranged by age and programs are printed in advance, so please avoid asking for changes unless there is a serious emergency. Please invite family and friends to attend. This is a wonderful time for sharing musical achievements without the pressure of competition or evaluations.
