From Register to Vineyard Reg 1227/2000 Art. 20 Agreement 25 th July 2002 (Mipaaf Regions and Provences of BZ and TN) 1. Member States shall classify varieties by name, together with any synonyms and grape colour. 2. Decisions to classify varieties shall be made on the basis of objective criteria, including considerations of cultural aptitude, and the analytical and organoleptic characteristics of wine made from the varieties concerned. 6. Only varieties which may be placed on the market in at least one Member State under Directive 68/193/EEC may be included in a Member States classification.
