ABOUT US From the meeting between Duke Giulio Grazioli, a descendant of a noble Roman family always dedicated to agricultural production on various estates in the countryside of Rome, and the oenologist Filippo Baccalaro, the Ducato Grazioli was founded. A project which aims to select and present wines able to optimally represent the uniqueness, virtuosity and merit of some of the most exclusive native Italian grape varieties. With utmost respect for the character of the fruit of the various production areas and regions and the sole objective of achieving qualitative excellence. Since 2008 the company is managed by Alessandro Brignone who, thanks to his experience and passion, proposes with success one of the highest quality expressions of native Italian grape varieties on the domestic and international markets.
PHILOSOPHY THE QUALITY OF OUR WINES The quality of a wine is the pleasantness of its taste. The merit of any foodstuff only coincides with the virtuosity of the analytical essence of its composition, i.e. with the pure and prime pleasure of its taste-aroma. The taste of any wine (or food) is in fact the universally perceptible detector of its chemical-analytical-technical quality index. Pure and prime pleasure, organoleptically detected and physiologically dictated: pleasant is that which the sense of sensation likes since it universally pleases the functioning of the human body. And so it is the gradual proximity of the composition of the wine to its highest purity that naturally and intuitively guides our senses in appreciating the taste-aroma of what we consume. The consistency is the set of substances that constitute the wine, its extract. A wine is balanced when the softness of its taste equals the sum of its acidity and - if any - its bitterness The taste of a wine is intact when the flavour of its fruit can be detected in its cleanliness and in its novelty. The Terroir is a well-defined area in which the natural physical and chemical conditions of the geographical area and climate allow a specific wine to be developed, identifiable by the unique characteristics of its territoriality.
