Virginia Baseball Parking Each suite holder receives four reserved lot parking passes, two for the lower reserved parking lot and two for the upper reserved parking lot. Parking attendants will be on hand to ensure all parking spaces are correctly utilized for maximum parking. Please conserve space by parking close to the cars around you. The University identifies general public parking spaces across the street from Davenport Field at University Hall. Alternate parking may be assigned due to conflicting events. Davenport Field at the University of Virginia On February 16, 2002, Virginia baseball stepped up to the plate for the first time at its newly renovated baseball field. Davenport Field at the University of Virginia Baseball Stadium now boasts: a canopied grandstand; a grandstand in left field; over 2,500 seats including 480 club-style chairs; a grassy hillside to provide up to 500 more seats: stadium lights; a video scoreboard; home and visitor dugouts; an onsite locker room and club house; a press box, a concession area and six suites for lease by fans and corporate sponsors. In 2010, Davenport Field underwent a second renovation to update the facility and now includes: a renovated clubhouse; an expanded training room; a weight room; a team meeting room; a film room; a visiting team locker room; an umpire locker room; climate controlled batting cages; and a Hall of Fame. Davenport Field showcases as one of the finest collegiate baseball facilities in the nation. Suite Policies and Procedures Animals Banners Cameras Catering Animals are not permitted in or on stadium grounds, with the exception of trained service animals for our fans with disabilities. Banners, signs and flags are allowed in the stadium provided they do not impede another guest's view of the competition, cover any venue signage, and/or are not attached to the facility. Banners, signs, and flags on poles or sticks are prohibited. Athletics Event Management reserves the right to remove any banner, sign, or flag that is in violation of the policy. Still cameras with lenses less than six inches are allowed, however flash photography and stands/tripods are prohibited. Video Cameras and audio recorders are prohibited. University of Virginia Suite Catering, a division of ARAMARK, is by contract the exclusive food and beverage provider at Davenport Field on game day. Find the Cavalier Suite Menu at www.virginiaathleticsfoundation.com. Suite orders must be placed at least three (3) business days prior to a game. Suite orders can be placed online at www.uva.catertrax.com or by calling Christie Icenhower, the Catering Suites Sales Consultant, at 434.924.7274. Food and beverage ordered through University of Virginia Suite Catering will be delivered within one hour of first pitch to ensure food is fresh and hot. Please review your suite order in advance of the game to confirm items and delivery time. Each suite is also equipped with an Aramark pager. If at any time during the game you need your Catering attendant please press this button to notify their staff. Conduct Suite holders are responsible for their guests. Profanity and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. UVA Game Operations Staff reserves the right to remove anyone from a suite who participates in such behavior. No running or loitering on the suite level concourse. No climbing on or over outside railings and bars. No tickets, food or beverage are to be passed over outside railings and bars. Decorating Empty Suites Permanent alterations such as wallpaper or changing the paint, carpeting, countertops, or lighting fixtures are prohibited. Virginia Athletics Foundation has fans that would be willing to fill those seats and takes responsibility for securing all personal items. Food and Beverage Suite holders may purchase food and beverage from UVA Suite Catering or any concession stand. However, no food or beverage may be removed from the suite at the conclusion of the game. No Food or beverage can be brought into the stadium on game day. Fourth Inning Lock If no one is in your suite by the start of the fourth inning, the door will be locked for security reasons. Please find a member of the guest relations staff or one of our suite staff to open your door should you arrive after that time. Guests to the Suite If you have guests coming to your suite without a suite ticket but they have a general admission ticket, we will gladly stamp SUITE ACCESS on that ticket. Please DO NOT drop tickets over the railing. Items Not Permitted Inside Davenport The following items are not permitted into the UVA Baseball Stadium: Bottles, jugs, thermoses, cans, coolers, or other hard containers Whistles, horns, or other artificial noise makers Illegal drugs Weapons Regulation size bats Alcohol (only in suites) Glass bottles Coolers Audio recorders Video Cameras All bags are subject to inspection by stadium personnel. Leasing Lost and Found Parking All suites are currently leased for the season. Those interested in leasing a suite can contact the Virginia Athletics Foundation at 434.982.5555 or 800.626.8723. During the game, articles may be claimed by contacting RMC. There are RMC guest service staff stationed throughout the stadium. RMC turns over all items to the lost and found area at the ticket booth. After the game items can be collected by calling UVA Athletics Facility Operations at 434.982.5022 Suite holders receive four reserved lot parking passes, two for lower reserved parking lot, which is in the grassy area off of Copeley Road, and two for upper reserved parking lot which is behind Davenport Field on the first base side. See page 4 for map. General Parking is located in the University Hall parking lot across the street from Davenport Stadium and Lannigan Field.
Pre-Season Load-in Suites will be open Monday, February 17, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. for the preseason load-in of beverages and non-perishable food items. Other items, including pictures, serving trays, blankets, seats, flags, and banners in regulation with stadium policy may be brought in at this time. Post-Season Clean-out Restrooms Season Stocking Suites will be open TBD for end of the season clean-out. Please remove any valuable personal items and the contents of your refrigerator(s). Refrigerators will be turned off in June. Restrooms are located on the main concourse on the first and third base sides. Stocking periods provide suite holders a time to stock their suite with beverages and non-perishable food items. Stocking of the suites will only be allowed on the days provided. Security Procedures Admission is subject to inspection and search for prohibited items. All persons entering the stadium will be subject to a visual search by stadium personnel before entering the gates. Event staff will also examine the contents of personal handbags. Guests will be asked to open their bags providing event staff the opportunity to observe the contents. If an item needs to be removed so the event staff member can see the remaining items in the bag, the guest will be asked to remove the item. The same procedure will be followed for items in a guest s pockets. The guest will be asked to remove the item so the staff member can observe the pocket's contents. If a guest is wearing a jacket, he/she will be asked to unzip the jacket and hold it open so that event staff can visually observe inside the jacket. Only those with 200 level seat tickets or tickets stamped with Suite Access are allowed on the suite level or upper concourse. Tickets should be shown at all times. Smoking Suite Tickets Ticket Policy for Children Smoking is not permitted in the suites, concourses, or seating areas of the stadium. The Hillside is considered to be a seating area. Each suite receives sixteen (16) suite tickets with their lease. Suite holders have the option to purchase an additional eight (8) Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets for each game. A SRO ticket provides entrance to Davenport Field and access to your suite. It does not provide a seat. To purchase SRO tickets for UVA baseball games, contact Byron Smith at (434) 924-7790. SRO ticket costs are $6 for week day games and $10 for weekend games. UVA Athletics Admission Policy states that all children age two and under are admitted free, provided they are sitting on an adult s lap.
Alcohol Policies Davenport Field Alcohol Policy No one under 21 may consume or stock alcohol in the suite area at any time. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the stadium on game day. Alcoholic beverages may not be taken out of your suite. Alcohol is not permitted in open air seats. Failure to follow the above policies will result in the loss of your license to use alcohol in the suite area. These policies are consistent with ABC licensing of the parking lots for limited alcohol consumption. Each suite has a recycling bin for bottles and cans. UVA Alcohol Policy Any approved University function where alcoholic beverages are to be served is expected to be conducted in accordance with Virginia State laws concerning the purchase, possession, consumption, sale, and storage of alcoholic beverages, including, but not limited to the following: A. Alcoholic beverages are not to be given or sold to persons under the legal drinking age (21 years of age). B. Alcoholic beverages are not to be given or sold to persons who are intoxicated. C. State law prohibits drinking in public, possession of an alcoholic beverage by a person under the legal drinking age, falsely representing one s age for the purpose of procuring alcohol, and purchasing an alcoholic beverage for a person who is under the legal age. D. Any sale of an alcoholic beverage requires an ABC license.
