WHAT IS CELLAR DOOR & FARM GATE? Cellar Door and Farm Gate (CD&FG) showcases the wealth and breadth of Victorian wine, specialist brews and produce by providing a platform for all sizes of wineries, specialist breweries and providore s to connect with new customers and aims to promote the diversity of the Victorian industry. It provides promotional and sales opportunities for Victorian producers to an audience of up to 6,500 engaged, eager to learn, enthusiastic attendees. Venue: Content: Tickets: South Wharf Precinct, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf Parkland between the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and Yarra River MELWAY REF 2F, 9A Victorian wineries, specialist breweries, artisan providores and producers, plus wine appreciation sessions and jazz. $35 per person over 18 years only / 6500 capacity over 2 days Submissions Open: Monday 15 - Wednesday 31 August 2011 Participation Fee The participation fee is dependent upon the varying infrastructure requirements of the different CD&FG offerings. Winery Specialist Brewer Providore $560 plus GST plus $385 plus GST $385 plus GST * Please note that the quoted participation fee for wineries and breweries includes one Major Event Liquor License application and permit valued at ($119.40) per site. If multiple wineries or breweries are represented at a single site they will be subject to the additional charge of ($119.40) per supplier. Payment must be received by the closing date to ensure inclusion in the program. Selection Process Participants will be accepted on a first-in basis with an emphasis on ensuring there is a good representation across all Victoria s regions. Places are limited. If accepted, your stall will be allocated a site within your region as determined by Tourism Victoria. Liquor Licence Application MFW will apply for the event s liquor license on your behalf and the cost ($119.40), is included in your Participation fee. The relevant application form will be sent to you upon confirmation of participation in the event. Wine Tastings and Sales Liquor Licensing Conditions Great emphasis is placed on responsible service of alcohol: an RSA certified person must be at your stall for the duration of the event to serve samples. Sales of bottles from your stall must be sold unopened and non-chilled for customers to take home. As a result of consultation with Liquor Licensing and Police Victoria, MFW will provide you with bags for sales and stickers to inform patrons that they are not to consume the bottles at the event. We encourage you to promote sales and subscription to your mailing list at your stall with signage: create special offers and incentives only available at this event to increase your sales. Wineries 20ml pours only are permitted into the patron s tasting glass (with 20ml pour line). You are not permitted to sell by the glass as this is a tasting event only. Breweries 20ml liquid pours (excluding head) only are permitted into the patron s tasting glass (with 20ml pour line). You are not permitted to sell by the glass as this is a tasting event only. NOTE: food may only be served from designated providore stalls.
PROVISIONS, EQUIPMENT AND SIGNAGE MFWF will provide the following: Wineries /Specialist Breweries & Providores > One market umbrella and dressed trestle table > Ice tub and ice as required > Limited access to secure storage > Major Event Liquor License application ($119.40) and permit (distributed at event) > City of Melbourne food and beverage permit > Listing on Cellar Door page in the Official Festival Program (320,000 copies) > Listing (with hyperlink) on Cellar Door page of Official Festival website > As a stallholder, you will be eligible to discounted Festival rate accommodation at a CBD hotel (details tbc) Stallholder will provide the following: > Wine for tastings and for bottle sales from stall > Spittoons and related service equipment or accessories > Stall decorations and related wine information > Evidence of public liability insurance and RSA certification (copies must be available at your stall for the duration of the event) > One sample bottle of wine or two sample bottles of beer delivered to MFWF prior to event Providores/ Food vendor > One 3x3 marquee > Two (2) dressed trestle tables > Marquee signage > Limited access to shared cool room and storage (upon request) > Listing on Cellar Door page in the Festival Program > Listing on Cellar Door page of Festival website > Limited access to power (upon request not for cash registers or eftpos machines) As a stallholder, you will be eligible to discounted Festival rate accommodation at a CBD hotel (details tbc) Food vendor Stallholder will provide the following: > Produce and information on produce for tastings and packaged sales from stall > Producer or representative at stall with detailed product knowledge (ingredients sourcing, growing, production, key strengths etc) NOTE: the availability of this information to the patron is key to Regional Development Victoria and MFWF supporting your participation > Food Safety Supervisor present at your stall > All related equipment and accessories for preparation and service > Plates and napkins (as appropriate) for tastings. NOTE: we strongly encourage the use of eco-friendly products MFWF can assist in recommending appropriate suppliers > Stall decorations and related branded information > Evidence of public liability insurance and food safety plan or certificate (copies must be available at your stall for the duration of the event)

Cancellation/ withdrawal from the Festival will incur a fee. If the stallholder withdraws from the event under 90 days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be given. If the stallholder withdraws under 60 days prior to the event, a 25% refund will be given. Cancellations made by the stallholder less than 30 days prior to the event will not receive a refund.
