1 A s my husband and I approached London on the Rangoon steamer, I was taken aback by its beauty. The intricacy of the architecture and the history that lay within this city s walls took my breath away. It was at that exact moment, as we glided over the wild currents of the River Thames, that I decided this would be my new forever home. Travel we may, but this would be where I wished to spend the rest of my days with Phileas. Of course, I would miss India, and wished there were a way I could bring part of it to London with me. It was at that moment, I decided how I would pay homage to my country. I would create a haven right here, in the heart of the city, where I could showcase aspects of my culture s beauty.
