Light oak and developing fruit notes beneath Nikka Yoichi 12y 730 Medium-body and very crisp. Flavour of peels and cut orchard fruits, a little floral note and a subdued peat smoke Nikka Yoichi NAS % ABV / Japanese Single Malt Sweet entry, fragrant, perfumed citrus. Peat comes through with a touch of smoke and a suggestion of coastal character,surrounded by orange peel and cherry Suntory Hakushu 12y % ABV / Japanese Single Malt Patisserie sweet and baked goods. Long and fruity finish with Manuka honey with subtle smokiness Suntory Hakushu DR Vanilla spice, mint sweetness, citrus zest. A lovely citrus note develops with more tropical fruit notes and a little rum Suntory Yamazaki 18y Medium-body with green notes and an earthen note, plenty of wood resin and a floral character with zest and sherried peels. The finish is of good length with fruit and zest Suntory Yamazaki 25y 8800 Sweet and treacly palate, reminiscent of Pedro Ximinez sherry. Clean, sweet, grapey and luscious with plenty of dried plum and raisin. It becomes a little rum-like on the middle and speckled with wood spice.
