3 FEAST These recipes enable you to eat well on a daily basis: use ingredients om groceries, delis and supermarkets within 5 minutes walk of any 30 minutes preparation for a nutritious meal no prerequisite of culinary expertise, only the ability to open cans and chop up veggies and meat is required plan your supper whilst sitting in your office, mtr or taxi pick up the ingredients on your walk back to your pad produce spontaneous good food that s fun to prepare and ee om anxiety HOT CROSS BUNS traditionally eaten on easter iday, hot cross buns are the must-have items in united kingdom, ireland, australia, new zealand and canada in april every year. though variation on recipes such as toffee, chocolate and apple-cinnamon are now available in the market, the traditional recipe is still the favourite for many. 2 very strong white bread flour 2 very strong wholemeal bread flour easy bake yeast sachet(7g) tsp mixed spice tsp salt unrefined golden caster sugar 250ml whole milk ee range egg unsalted butter 00g raisins (or sultanas, currants) orange zest egg glaze to finish short crust pastry to finish put the flour, sugar, spice, yeast and salt into a bowl. stir in milk, butter and egg to form a soft dough. mix in the dried uits of your choice along with the zest of the orange. turn onto a floured surface and knead for 0 minutes. place in a clean bowl and cover with a clean tea towel and leave to prove. the dough will double in size, this can take up to an hour. preheat the oven to 200oc. divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape then place on a lightly floured baking tray. brush with egg wash and finish the buns with a cross made om the shortcrust pastry. glaze once more and bake for 5-20 minutes until golden.
