1 CIRCLE G PEGASUS AIRPARK LANDSCAPING SUPPLEMENT Landscaping provides one of the most important features at Circle G Communities. The desired theme of an abundant landscape is achieved by the use of turf, shrubs, and live plant material groundcover, Xeriscape designs (lush green designs with plentiful quantities of trees, shrubs and groundcover, utilizing plant material that does not require a lot of water) are recommended. Landscape is required for all residential front yards and street side yards visible from neighboring properties, streets and common areas. A minimum of 40% coverage of live plant material is required in the yards, as described above. Walkways, driveways, or patio type areas shall not be included in this calculation. The yards shall be landscaped with turf, shrubs and live groundcover. All turf areas must be contained with a minimum of a 4 wide concrete or brick edge (header). The use of turf is optional. Two twenty-four (24) inch box trees are to be planted eight to ten (8-10) feet behind the back of the curb in the front yard of the residence. These trees shall be one of the following varieties: Mesquite, Evergreen Elm, Ash, or an approved tree. This supplement lists the approximate mature sizes of various Desert Southwest Plants, and can be used to assist homeowners in determining areas of coverage when designing their landscaping. The mature plant size area is used to determine the 40% coverage.
