In Riquewihr, stroll around the illuminated streets in one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France (France s most beautiful villages). You will also be filled with wonder in Bergheim, Guémar and Thannenkirch, which unfold before your eyes like Christmas postcards. On the trail of a fabulous treasure With your family or friends, walk round the twinkling street of Riquewihr and Thannenkirch, on the trail of the Christmas treasure by unravelling several riddles. A reward is offered to all winners. The game booklet is available at the Tourist Office in Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr and at the Hotel Le Clos des Sources in Thannenkirch. 4 Festive atmosphere in the Christmas wine cellars Wine growers in the Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr region are delighted to welcome you and to share their passion for their work with you. The programme includes: cellar tours, tasting sessions of Alsace wine and local products, pre-lunch and pre-dinner concerts and discovery workshops. A whole region sits down to eat. Eleven wine growers from the Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr region take part in the Caves de Noël (Christmas Cellars) campaign Booking recommended Our villages resound with thousands of tales and legends Christmas in Alsace is replete with mythical characters and the strangest stories. Sitting 2 nd, 9 th and 16 th December at 8.30 pm (in French) Booking at the Tourist Office Price : 13 by the fire at the foot of the Christmas tree, a storyteller recreates the Christmas magic of former days in tales and legends. A delightful friendly experience with a Christmas drink in the interval at the Villa Fink in Ostheim. Once upon a time there were mangers.. Nativity scenes are an essential part of Christmas tradition and remind us of the original meaning of the celebration. The manger trail in Bergheim takes you on a tour of over 80 handcrafted nativity scenes. Village inhabitants and associations try to be more imaginative than one another in designing original creations. Don t miss the huge carved wooden nativity scene by the artist Pascal Bosshardt on display in Thannenkirch church. What joy singing Christmas carols! The Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr region comes alive with the sound of Christmas concerts. The region s choral societies and choirs breathe life into the most famous Christmas carols rooted in Alsatian traditions.
