Christmas Tree Lighting 2018 Thursday, 13 December 2018 Christmas is coming! Mark the beginning of the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at The Tent, where the GM will host an early evening gathering for in-house guests and SALA keychain members. In the spirit of the season, a group of underprivileged children will be invited to experience the gift-receiving joy of the holidays. At the end of the evening, cuddle up for a holiday movie on the beachside lawn. Christmas Eve 2018 Monday, 24 December 2018 Getting Christmas off to a jolly start is Jetski Santa and his elven ladies who arrive during breakfast to deliver presents to kids staying at the resort. Come dinner time, a special festive gourmet menu is offered alongside a limited a la carte menu to offer seasonal favourites including turkey and all the trimmings. Live acoustic music and a carol performance by local kids add to the night-time festivities. New Year s Eve 2018 Monday, 31 December 2018 Celebrate SALA Chaweng s first new year festivities and ring in 2019 with an all-night Cuban-themed party. Cocktails and canapes ease guests into the evening with the help of jam master DJ Aopsher, followed by a festive seafood BBQ featuring Cuban themed culinary highlights including a full roasted suckling pig. Valerie Alken opens up the dance floor with her sultry salsa moves followed by a group performance and a Bogema show keeping the evening s energy rolling. The party moves onto the beach before the countdown which is marked with a bang with fireworks shows when the clock strikes midnight.
