Kenzie Staley stood strong in goal the first half, helping get her defense settled in and cranked up. Wendy Reyes Castro and Gladis Vera Raya had solid stops and helped protect the goalie's back side. Skylar Cole, Kendra Marley, Marifer Pichardo-Gonzales, and Brynne Ingram battled for the ball at midfield and pounded the ball into the box from the eighteen. The Huskies switched things up in the second half. Elizabeth Remsburg had a strong foot at midfield, initiating multiple offensive attacks. Ireland Haga, Olivia Tuck, and Saray Morales led a non-stop offensive charge in the second half resulting in 10+ shots on goal. Trinity Currin helped work the ball up the sidelines on offense and Jackie Raya rocked her defensive skills. Selina Hicks played tough defense, thwarting a goal attempt late in the second half. Ireland Haga put in the goal for the Lady Huskies' 1-0 win. Huskies Fall To Comets In Last 18 Seconds The Comets started strong putting in their first goal in under two minutes, but the Huskies fought back. Elizabeth Remsburg, Olivia Tuck and Kenzie Staley battled on defense blocking and slowing down the opponent. Ireland Haga scored off of a penalty kick in the second half, tying the game at one a piece. Midfielders Brynne Ingram, Skylar Cole, and Kendra Marley kept firing shots on goal from the eighteen.
