Accommodations T Frere s House is our bed and breakfast in Lafayette, a historic colonial mansion with a colorful past. Local legends tell of a friendly ghost named Amelie that lives upstairs. The location provides easy access to town, and has a full kitchen for in house breakfasts. Relax in the beautiful dining room, patio and common area. Kayla (the innkeeper) is here to make sure your stay is comfortable and customized to your needs. Country Charm Cottages in Breaux Bridge is a gorgeous lakeside property lined with massive oaks. It has a fire pit, tire swing, hammock and canoe. This secluded spot is ideal for outdoor cooking and relaxing by the lake with a drink. Listen to frogs croak at night and roast marshmallows over the fire. It doesn t get more relaxing than this! (This location is an added $50/pp for the 2 Day Trip and $150/pp for the 4 Day Trip) Local Guides - Chef David Abshire has grown up here in Lafayette and knows the best recipes for all those classic dishes like Etouffee, Gumbo and Jambalaya. He has worked with numerous acclaimed chefs and hosts a cooking show. - Captain Shawn Guchereau grew up on Lake Martin learning about the plants and animals that live in this incredible swamp. He knows everything there is to know about the ecosystem and is an expert at helping you nail the perfect photo.
