Commodore Carolyn s/v Absolutely VICE COMMODORE WELCOME to our New Members which joined us in October; Dan & Robin Baumgartner, Paul & Kathryn Hill, Phillip & Catherine Whitehead, and Steven Voyce. Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Take the time to introduce yourselves everyone. REAR COMMODORE I want to give big thank you s to the club members who showed up ready to work on October 15th at 5pm to lend their efforts to the clubhouse clean up. Never has there been a finer or harder working bunch of yacht club swabbies assembled in one place and with such determination in their eyes!. Dust was dusted, shelves organized, floors swept, bathroom cleaned and polished, windows cleaned, furniture vacuumed off and wiped, and lots more too...not bad for a little over an hour spent working with fun, friendly, people. I proclaim massive kudo s to: Phil W, Sabrina S, Laurie I, Rich I, JT, Carolyn T, Loyal S, Nancy B, Tina L, and JR. Well done! If I missed someone, blame it on my poor memory ok! Looking at the official BVYC calendar I should point out that if you wish to reserve the clubhouse for your own use, the available dates are filling fast. It is only $50 for members to reserve the clubhouse for their own private use. FLEET CAPTAIN Fall Greetings Brownsville Cruisers, Our first cruise of the 2015-2016 season has set the standard for the upcoming year. Six boats and four autos arrived at the Poulsbo Marina for the fall festivities over the course of the weekend. Our Friday night cocktail mixer and a fabulously prepared array of appetizers brought by the members kicked off a lively, fun evening of merriment. Chili, cornbread and salad for dinner, prepared by the host boat, followed by cream pie and liqueurs rounded out the night's meal. The best part of the evening was surely the great stories and club camaraderie. Saturday brew tasting and pub crawl, shopping and dining in the downtown Poulsbo core provided something for everyone. Sixteen members enjoyed a delicious meal in an ambient setting at Sogno di Vino that night rounding out a wonderful day. What would a cruise be without the traditional over the top Sunday brunch before shoving off? We may never know. The potluck brunch was amazing and the perfect ending to a great cruise. Sue, Carl, Kathy, Bill, Tina, JR, Noreen, Ron, Rich, Laurie, Nancy, Bob, Mary, Terry, Diane, Bob K, Joanie, Wes, Jim and Commodores past and present JT and Carolyn, you brought the fun. Next chance to party down will be the November Staycation and Commodore's chowder cook off cruise at our very own Brownsville Marina November 20-22. Sign up at the general meeting, Thanksgiving potluck, on Tuesday the 10th and for any of the upcoming 2016 cruises you would like to attend. Some great destinations are coming up. Thank you members. Looking forward to the fun. Regards, Charlene Holmes P/C Miss Marlene Sent from my ipad Page 3 of 5
