5 Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Bake 16 oz pork sausage (crumbled and cooked or if sausage links, cooked and sliced) 10 large eggs, lightly beaten 2 cups whole milk 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 8 white slices bread, cubed 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese 1 cup sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup sliced green onion Preheat oven to 350 F. In large mixing bowl, mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Distribute half of the bread evenly in a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle half the cheese, half the sausage, half the mushrooms, and half the onions. Layer the remaining bread, cheese, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Pour egg mixture evenly over ingredients. Bake uncovered for approx. 50 minutes, or until eggs are set.
