The children had a visit from our wonderful Engine 16 Fire Department. The children had the opportunity to climb in and out of the fire truck and received their very own fire hats. Our school will be honoring those who served in the military on Nov 9, 2017 at 10:00am. We will have visitors from each branch of service. The children will honor our service members and a light hero s lunch will be served. Other Community Heroes will be visiting Gateway Academy throughout the month of November. If you are a parent/grandparent or you know someone that serves the community and would like to share their career with our children, please see Mrs. Kim or Mrs. Sandra so we can schedule a time Annual Food Drive Nov 1-17, 2017 This month we celebrate the anniversary of one of our amazing childcare professionals here at Gateway Academy. Ms. Shonta has been with our school for 9 years this month. Her professionalism and hard work is evident in work and the classroom. Please join us as we celebrate her and her accomplishments. Thank you Ms. Shonta for your dedication to the children and families of our school. Our school will be having our annual food drive to support the local community. Please bring in non perishable items and place them in the boxes in the lobby. We have so many things to be thankful for so let s work together to make a Happy Thanksgiving for families in need. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Let s get into the holiday season with time out for a piece of pie!
