Frequently Asked Questions What Registry Office covers The White Hart Inn? Ripley Registry Office: 01773 841380 How can I pay? Payments can be made by BACS, Cash, Cheque and Credit & Debit Cards. Credit Card payments will incur the following fees: American Express 3%, MasterCard, Visa Credit, Signia or World 1.5 % Commercial Cards 2% How much is the deposit? The deposit for any wedding booking is 500. Do we have to pay extra for the civil ceremony? Yes, the charge for the civil ceremony is 450 for Saturdays and 400 for any other day. There will also be a fee to pay directly to the registrar to conduct the ceremony for you. How long does the civil ceremony take? A civil ceremony usually takes around 25 minutes. This will be a little longer if you have readings. What age do you classify as a child? We classify any children under 12 as a child. Are we allowed to bring our own wine and pay corkage? We are sorry but we do not allow guests to supply their own wines for us to serve on a corkage basis. What times is last orders? Any disco and live entertainment generally finish by 12:30. Last orders will be called at 12:15 for the bar to close at 12:30. Guests should depart the function room by 1:00, both residents and non-residents.
Can we get married outside? Sadly this option is not available but guests are welcome to enjoy our private terrace area after the civil ceremony held inside. Do we need to book all the bedrooms? When you book your wedding date we will reserve all 10 rooms for you. Your guests cannot book any of the bedrooms. 2 weeks before your big day we will ask you to allocate which of your guests will be staying in each room. Any rooms you do not wish to use will be released back to the general public to book. Can we use the field to the rear for fireworks or inflatables Sadly we do not permit any fireworks. We do allow inflatables if appropriate insurance can be provided. Can we use our own DJ or band? Our resident DJ is available 225 if you do require his services you will need book directly through John Smith discos. You are more than welcome to provide your own entertainment. However, we will need to see full copies of their Public Liability Insurance and PAT Testing certificates. They will also have to sign a contractor agreement form provided by The White Hart. Can we accommodate physically challenged guests? We have disabled toilets next to our wedding reception room but with the bedrooms being on the 1st floor we do not have lift facilities and only stairs to access all 10 bedrooms. Can we recommend suppliers (i.e. photographer, florist, wedding cake)? Our team of wedding planners can offer you a list of well recommended suppliers who we have used in the past and who generally will offer a discount to our brides and grooms.
