Vigorello has deep chromatic notes, almost impenetrable, with violet hues. Olfactory notes are characterized by an intense marasca, but as time goes by red fruits more discrete as currant or raspberry take over together with sweet wooden notes which greatly mix with the complexity of the bouquet. The dense tannic concentration generate a rich wine, almost dense or viscous. The added Merlot grape, which has been added to the historic grapes of Sangiovese / Cabernet in some vintages, gives a sweeter taste and makes it less strong without damage its ageing potential.
