THANKSGIVING PACK Painted Turkey Toast This toast is great for a monster appetite! VROOM! Ingredients: Whole wheat sliced bread Edible markers Kitchen scissors Milk paint (mix whatever milk you drink with a bit of food colouring) Paint brushes Directions: 1. To make the turkey shape have your child place their clean hand on a piece of bread. 2. Trace their hand with an edible marker. If you don t have an edible marker, have child push down on the bread to make an imprint. 3.Cut out the hand shape with kitchen scissors. 4. Let them paint the bread with the milk paint. TIP: Paint lightly. If the bread gets too soggy it will take longer to toast. 5. Put on a non-stick baking sheet and bake at 400 F for 5 8 minutes. 6. Eat and enjoy!
THANKSGIVING PACK Edible Pumpkin Pie Modeling Clay Jumpin bumpers - this clay is tasty AND fun! Ingredients: ½ cup brown sugar ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (you can add more for a stronger scent and flavor) ¼ cup plain greek yogurt 1 cup flour Directions: 1. Add ½ cup brown sugar to bowl. 2. Add ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. 3. Add ¼ cup plain greek yogurt. 4. Add 1 cup of flour 5. Mix ingredients and knead it with your hands into a ball. TIPS: Make ahead of time and store in the fridge. Allow to thaw in a plastic bag for a couple of hours before you play. Encourage your child to play with the clay with a plastic cutlery or wooden craft sticks. You can also use pipe cleaners and dry cereal for more fun!
THANKSGIVING PACK Rainbow Turkey - Jack Ready, Set, Roll... me some turkey feathers!! Materials: Printed Jack and feather images (next two pages) Thin cardboard (a ceral box works well) Dice Crayons Glue or sticky tape Instructions: 1. Colour and cut out Jack and his stand. (For a sturdier centerpiece, glue Jack and the stand to a thin piece of cardboard before cutting out). 2. Roll the dice. 3. Colour a feather according to the number rolled (see chart below). Cut out the feather and attach behind Jack with glue or sticky tape. 4. When Jack is turkey-fied he can be your Thanksgiving dinner table centerpiece! RED ORANGE YELLOW GREEN BLUE PURPLE

THANKSGIVING PACK Vegan Pumpkin Pie Pudding Pumpkin pie pudding? Feed me! Ingredients: 2 tablespoons maple syrup ¾ cup pumpkin pureé 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (1 teaspoon cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, pinch of ginger and allspice can be used as a substitute) 3 tablespoons sweet rice flour (cornstarch can be used as a substitute) 1 ½ cups almond milk Coconut whipped cream (optional) Directions: 1. In a medium saucepan, blend the maple syrup, pumpkin, and spice. 2. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. 3. Whisk in the sweet rice flour. 4. Add the almond milk and whisk well. 5. Return to a boil and cook until thick (about 3 minutes). 6. Transfer into individual serving cups and chill in the fridge until firm, about 1 ½ hours. 7. Top with a dollop of coconut whipped cream if desired - and enjoy!
THANKSGIVING PACK Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies NO! NO! NO! There s no way I can resist these cookies! Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon nutmeg ¼ teaspoon allspice 1 cup sugar ½ cup vegetable oil 1 cup canned pumpkin 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 egg 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray cookie sheets with nonstick spray or line them with parchment paper. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and spices. Set aside. 3. In a larger bowl, whisk together the sugar, oil, pumpkin, vanilla and egg until smooth. 4. Slowly add in the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. 5. Drop by large, rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 12 minutes,a or until cookies are just beginning to brown around the edges. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for two minutes. Transfer to a wire cooling rack and cool completely.
