25 INT. CAMILLE AND THOMAS LIVING ROOM - EVENING 25 QCA Unit 13 - Bon Appétit, bonne sante (Enjoy; healthy eating) - year 5 Two children, CAMILLE and THOMAS, stare out of the window looking bored. Suddenly they hear the sound of the door go. They look at each other excitedly and dash out of the room. 26 INT. CAMILLE AND THOMAS KITCHEN - DAY 26 Mother struggles into the kitchen and dumps her shopping bags onto the table. The children run into the room. THOMAS Qu'y-a-t-il dans le sac, Maman? What s in the bag Mum? CAMILLE Des bonbons?! Sweets?! Mum taps their fingers away in a playful manner. Non, pas de bonbons. Ils sont mauvais pour la santé! No sweets. They re bad for you. Mum starts unpacking a bag. CAMILLE looks shocked. CAMILLE Mais il te faut des bonbons. Ils sont bons! But you need sweets, they re nice! Du fromage. Ça, c'est bon pour la santé. Some cheese. That s good for you. Mum places the cheese on the table. (CONT D) Du chocolat. Some chocolate. Miam! Yum! THOMAS

2. Miam! Yum! CAMILLE De la sauce tomate. Une baguette. Some tomato sauce. A baguette THOMAS J adore les baguettes. I love baguettes. THOMAS grabs the baguette and pretends to eat it very loudly. Miam! Yummy! THOMAS (CONT D) Mum does not look impressed, she wags her finger and goes to grab the baguette. Ne mange pas la baguette! Don t eat the baguette! THOMAS hands it back to his mother. CAMILLE frowns. CAMILLE Mais Maman, le pain est bon pour la santé! But Mum, bread is good for your health! Camille turns to camera. CAMILLE (CONT D) Qu'achetez-vous au supermarché? What do you buy at the supermarket? 27 INT. CAMILLE AND THOMAS KITCHEN - DAY 27 Two children in Chef s costumes look up at their mother. She claps her hands together. On va faire une pizza. We re going to make a pizza. THOMAS Bravo. J adore la pizza. Great I love pizza. CAMILLE nods enthusiastically.

3. THOMAS (CONT D) Moi aussi... Me too... CAMILLE picks up the tomato sauce. CAMILLE Mais je déteste la sauce tomate. But I hate tomato sauce. Il te faut de la sauce tomate. You need some tomato sauce. CAMILLE challenges her mother. CAMILLE Non, je veux du chocolat. Je vais faire une pizza au chocolat! No, I need some chocolate. I'm going to make a chocolate pizza. La pizza au chocolat est mauvaise pour la santé. Mais mets du chocolat sur ta pâte de pizza. On la dégustera! Chocolate pizza is unhealthy. But put some chocolate on your pizza base. We'll taste it! Mum turns away from CAMILLE and explains the standard recipe to THOMAS. (CONT D) Mets de la sauce tomate sur la pâte de pizza. Put some tomato sauce on the pizza base. THOMAS takes the sauce and pours it on the pizza base. (CONT D) Coupe en tranches les tomates et les champignons. Cut the tomatoes and the mushrooms into slices. THOMAS starts to cut the tomatoes but he is distracted by what CAMILLE is doing with the chocolate. Camille picks up some BANANAS in a FRUIT BOWL. Camille starts to slice them. Mum clicks her fingers in front of his face and directs him to concentrate on cutting the vegetables.

4. (CONT D) Mélange avec le fromage râpé et puis mets sur la pâte de pizza Mix with the grated cheese and then add to the pizza base. THOMAS looks up for the next instruction. (CONT D) Et puis chauffe la pizza au four. And then cook the pizza in the oven. He looks back at his sibling. Mum also turns around to look at CAMILLE. CAMILLE grins through a mouth covered in chocolate. She lifts up the pizza with chocolate covered hands. CAMILLE Et les bananes sont bonnes pour la santé! And the bananas are good for you! Camille turns to camera. CAMILLE (CONT D) Et toi...tu aimes la pizza? Aux champignons ou au chocolat? And you - do you like pizza? Mushroom pizza or chocolate pizza? 28 INT. CAMILLE AND THOMAS KITCHEN - DAY 28 Mum gets the pizzas out of the oven. Alors, on va déguster les pizzas! Right we re going to taste these pizzas. THOMAS Oui, la pizza aux champignons! Yes, the mushroom pizza... CAMILLE Ah, je déteste les champignons! Oh, I hate mushrooms! THOMAS Non, les champignons sont délicieux! No the mushrooms are delicious!

5. THOMAS kisses his fingers and waves them in the air with an appreciative gesture. Mum takes a bite of the savoury pizza. Et cette pizza...à la sauce tomate, aux champignons et au fromage...est bonne pour la santé! And this pizza...tomato, mushroom and cheese... is good for you... Mum licks her lips and makes an appreciative sound. (CONT D) Mais... cette pizza. But... this pizza. Mum looks at CAMILLE s chocolate and banana pizza. She cuts a slice. CAMILLE looks hopeful. She gestures to the ordinary pizza. (CONT D) Celle-ci est bonne pour la santé et est délicieuse. This one is good for you and is delicious. Mum points at the chocolate and banana pizza. (CONT D) Celle-là est mauvaise pour la santé... mais elle est délicieuse aussi! That one isn't healthy... but it's also delicious! CAMILLE makes a triumphant gesture in the air. Mum eats some more of the chocolate and banana pizza. Thomas takes the chocolate and banana pizza from his mother and takes a bite. He turns to camera. THOMAS Dis à ton prof ce que tu aimes et qui est bon pour la santé! Tell your teacher what you like that's healthy! 29 EXT. SQUARE - DAY 29 QCA Unit 21 - Monter un cafe (let s start a cafe) - year 6

6. Three children,, and AMANDINE, cross the square. Nina repeatedly runs ahead and then back to the others as if she is impatient. 30 INT. CAFE, TABLE - DAY 30 The three children enter the cafe and sit down at a table. A waitress, VERONIQUE, comes over to serve them. VERONIQUE Bonjour. Vous désirez? Hello. What would you like? Une glace à la vanille, s il vous plait. One vanilla ice cream, please. Pour moi, au chocolat et de l'eau minérale. Chocolate for me and a mineral water. AMANDINE Moi, Je voudrais un jus d orange parce que je n aime pas les glaces. I would like an orange juice because I don t like ice cream. VERONIQUE Une glace à la vanille, une au chocolat, une eau minérale et un jus d'orange. C'est tout? A vanilla ice cream, a chocolate ice cream, a mineral water and an orange juice. Is that all? Oui. Yes. CHILDREN VERONIQUE moves to the back of the cafe. CUT TO: 31 INT. CAFE, COUNTER - DAY 31 Veronique prepares the drinks and the ice cream and puts them on a tray. CUT TO:

7. 32 INT. CAFE, TABLE - DAY 32 Veronique brings back their order. VERONIQUE repeats the names of each item as she puts them down. She smiles. VERONIQUE Une glace à la vanille, une au chocolat, une eau minérale et un jus d'orange. A vanilla ice cream, a chocolate ice cream, a mineral water and an orange juice. VERONIQUE (CONT D) Bon appétit Enjoy! AMANDINE// Merci! Thank you! The children tuck in. J'aime la glace au chocolat mais je préfère la glace à la fraise, je crois. I like chocolate ice cream but I think I prefer strawberry. Moi, je préfère la vanille. I think I prefer vanilla. AMANDINE J'adore le chocolat, la fraise et la vanille... mais je déteste les glaces! I love chocolate, strawberries and vanilla but I hate ice cream! AMANDINE shivers dramatically and pulls a face. Nina turns to camera. Pouvez-vous écrire un menu de café? Can you write a cafe menu?

8. 33 INT. OPTICIANS KITCHEN - DAY 33 and are dressed like waiters in a cafe. They throw a white table cloth over the kitchen table. An unsuspecting AMANDINE walks into the kitchen. pounces on AMANDINE. Bienvenue au café. Welcome to the cafe. Quoi? What? AMANDINE pushes AMANDINE into a seat. On va faire des milkshakes et on va inviter la famille. We are going to make some milkshakes and invite the whole family. AMANDINE still looks confused and slightly scared. She opts for not making direct eye contact but nevertheless joins in the conversation. AMANDINE Ah bon! Pas de glaces! J'adore les milkshakes. Le milkshake au chocolat? Good! No ice creams! I love milkshakes. Chocolate milkshake? Il te faut du chocolat en poudre. You need some chocolate powder. flourishes some chocolate powder out of the cupboard. Voilà. Here we are. places the glass with brown powder in front of AMANDINE. AMANDINE looks nervous. AMANDINE Et du lait? And some milk? claps her hands sharply. flourishes some milk out the fridge.

9. (sarcastically) Sans doute. Of course. Il faut mélanger le chocolat et le lait. You have to mix the chocolate and the milk. stirs the mixture in the glass and places it in front of AMANDINE. AMANDINE looks up. (CONT D) Bon appétit. Enjoy. watches closely as AMANDINE drinks. As she is about to put the glass down smiles and puts her hand to the glass encouragingly. Bon appétit! Enjoy! AMANDINE eyes them both as she glugs down all the chocolate milk. AMANDINE (into it) Et aussi j'aime le milkshake à la banane. Also I like banana milk-shake. Coupez les bananes! Slice the bananas! CLOSE UP: BANANAS SLICED (CONT D) Ajoutez le lait! Add to the milk! CLOSE UP: MILK POURING CLOSE UP: BLENDER BUTTON All three children stand in a row, drink the banana milkshake and rub their bellies. They are surrounded by used glasses and a lot of mess.

10. Miam. Yum. CHILDREN looks at them both. Pour le café... au chocolat, à la banane ou à la vanille? Chocolate with banana or vanilla for the cafe? looks into the packet of chocolate powder. Plus de chocolat! No chocolate! AMANDINE Plus de bananes. No bananas. Axelle turns to camera. À quelles arômes de milkshake pouvez-vous penser? What flavour milkshakes can you think of? 34 INT. OPTICIANS KITCHEN - EVENING 34 All three children are now in waiter and chef costumes. Their parents pile into the room. The parents sit down and study the menus, written by the children. Banana and chocolate have been crossed off the menu. There is a further choice of, à la vanille (vanilla) à la fraise (strawberry), au café (coffee), au caramel (toffee). walks up to the table. Vous désirez, Monsieur? What would you like, sir? DAD Un café au lait, s'il vous plaît. A milky coffee, please. Je suis désolé - pas de café. Mais il y a du milkshake au café. I'm sorry, no coffee. But there's coffee milk-shake...

11. DAD Oui, un milkshake au café, s il vous plaît. Yes, a coffee milk-shake, please. goes over to where the mother is sitting. Vous désirez, Maman.non, je veux dire, Madame! What would you like Mum... I mean, Madam? Eeeuh..un milkshake au chocolat, s'il vous plaît. Ummm, a chocolate milk-shake, please. Désolé, plus de chocolat. Sorry, no more chocolate. à la fraise, alors. I ll have strawberry then. Merci, Madame. Thank you Madam. AMANDINE brings out the milk-shakes. All three watch the parents try the milk shakes. DAD J'aime le milkshake. I like the milkshake. C'est délicieux! It s delicious! DAD L'addition s'il vous plaît. Bill, please. The children appear with the bill. places it in front of Dad on a saucer. Cinq Euro s il vous plaît. Five Euro please. Dad puts a five Euro note on the table.

12. DAD Et combien pour le chocolat, le lait et les bananes?... cinq Euro, je crois! And how much for the chocolate, the milk and the bananas... five Euro, I think! The children stand there with mouths wide open as the father puts the money back in his pocket. Amandine turns to camera. AMANDINE/ / Et maintenant c'est à vous de faire un café dans la salle de classe. Qui est le garçon de café? Qui sont les clients? Qu'est-ce que vous allez vendre? Qu'est-ce que vous allez manger et boire? Now it's your turn to make a café in the classroom. Who's the waiter? Who are the customers? What are you going to sell? What are you going to eat and drink? 35 INT. GALLERY - DAY 35 QCA Unit 4 - Portraits - Year 3 TOM and LOLITA enter the gallery. They have pencils and paper. As they go around the gallery they make notes on the paper. A SECURITY GUARD keeps a watchful eye on the children. They point at a few paintings and giggle but stop when they see the Security Guard frowning. TOM points at one of the portraits. TOM Il a des cheveux marron. She has brown hair. The Security Guard coughs loudly. The children look round. The Security Guard lifts his finger to his lips. SECURITY GUARD Shhhhhhhhhh! The children walk to the next painting. LOLITA whispers to TOM.

13. LOLITA Elle a une grande bouche rouge! She has a big red mouth! TOM cannot contain himself anymore and shouts loudly. TOM Et le nez! Regarde! Il est énorme! And look at his enormous nose! The children laugh loudly. The Security Guard flushes bright red and opens his mouth widely. Silence! Silence! SECURITY GUARD He chases the children out of the gallery. The children run out laughing loudly. 36 EXT. IN FRONT OF GALLERY - DAY 36 Lolita and Tom laugh as they run. LOLITA Désolé Monsieur! Sorry sir! TOM Lui aussi... He alos... Nodding his head back to the security guard. TOM (CONT D)... il a un grand nez!... has a big nose! The children laugh louder. The children stop out of breath and turn to camera. TOM (CONT D) Maintenant, tu le dessines toimême. Now you are going to draw him yourself. Tom points to his facial features. TOM (CONT D)... la bouche, le nez, les yeux, les cheveux... ce sonts importants. (MORE)

14. TOM (CONT D)..the mouth, nose, eyes, hair.. these are important. 37 INT. ARLETTES KITCHEN - DAY 37 TOM and LOLITA prepare the kitchen table to do some portrait painting. They start by putting down some newspaper. TOM says the colours as he sorts the tubes. TOM Rouge, jaune, vert, bleu. Blanc, noir. Red, yellow, green, blue, white, black. TOM sketches out the rough lines of a head. TOM looks at LOLITA. TOM (CONT D) Alors, les yeux... bleus ou verts? Blue or green eyes? LOLITA scratches her head. LOLITA Les yeux...bleus? Blue eyes? Oui. Yes. TOM TOM paints the eyes blue. He then starts to paint big ears. TOM (CONT D) Les oreilles. Ears. LOLITA gets excited and points at the portrait and makes a big hand motion over her nose. LOLITA Un nez... un grand nez! A nose... a big nose! TOM ignores LOLITA s comment. LOLITA grabs the paint brush and paints a big nose. TOM takes the paint brush and dips it in the black paint and paints.

15. TOM Des cheveux noirs. Black hair. LOLITA jumps up and down. LOLITA Et une grande bouche rouge. And a big red mouth. TOM laughs and draws a big red mouth. They take the painting and run into the next room. 38 INT. ARLETTES LIVING ROOM - DAY 38 HUGUETTE is asleep in an armchair. She is snoring. The children leave the painting on her belly. Lolita turns to camera and whispers. TOM Combien de couleurs connaissezvous? How many colours can you name? 39 EXT. PLAYGROUND - DAY 39 Head shots of four children with varying features. Close ups of facial features: ears, eyes, mouths, noses and hair. CHILD 1 Elle a les cheveux blonds et les yeux marron. Il a les cheveux marron et les yeux bleus. Il a les cheveux marron et les yeux verts. She s got blonde hair and brown eyes. He s got brown hair and blue eyes. He s got brown hair and green eyes. The head shots are repeated and each child speaks to camera. MARIE J ai les cheveux blonds et les yeux marron. I have blonde hair and brown eyes.

16. CHILD 3 J ai les cheveux marron et les yeux bleus. I have brown hair and blue eyes. CHILD 4 J ai les cheveux marron at les yeux verts. I have brown hair and green eyes. MARIE J ai les cheveux noirs et les yeux marron. I have black hair and brown eyes. CUT TO: Child 1 smiles at camera. CHILD 1 A quoi ressemblez-vous? What do you look like?
