The following is a list of wetland plants that we offer. Please inquire if a plant is not on the list because we may be growing it or can get it for you. We grow a full line of ornamental aquatics and pond plants which can be viewed on our other website at www.aqua-link.com. We offer contract grow for any kind of job and can also grow out floating wetland sanctuaries and wetland carpets for your specific needs. Sizes offered: plugs (72s, 50s & 38s), quarts, 6", & 1 gallon Plant Name Acorus americana sweet flag Wetland Indicator Status 2' to 3' - Flowers April, May - inconspicuous, green spathe forms clumps with leaves similar to Iris. Alisma subcordatum water plantain 2' - Flowers July, August - small white blooms atop attractive foliage. Asclepias incarnata swamp milkweed 6' - Flowers June to August - pale pink flowers attract butterflies. Aster novi-angliae New England aster Borrichia frutescens sea ox-eye Canna flaccida yellow water canna 3' to 4' - A vigorous native canna that displays yellow flower spikes.

Juncus effusus soft rush 3' to 4' - Often grows in tussocks or hummocks - clumping habit Juncus roemerianus Justicia americana water willow 2' - Flowers August - White flowers decorated with purple that resemble orchid flowers - narrow leaves like the willow. Kosteletzkya virginica seashore mallow 6' to 9' - Flowers July to September - soft pink flowers with velvety leaves - can handle brackish water.

Lobelia cardinalis cardinal flower 2' - Flowers August, September - tall spikes of red flowers striking summer color for a long period. Lobelia siphilitica great blue Lobelia 3' - Flowers August to October - bright blue blooms Mimulus ringens lavender musk 2' - Flowers July, August - lavender flowers among soft green foliage - will grow in or out of a pond. Orontium aquaticum golden club 1' to 2' - Flowers April, May with unique white and gold flowers. Panicum virgatum switch grass FAC 2' to 4' - Flowers July to September - ornamental, particularly in winter. Peltandra virginica arrow arum 2' to 3' - Glossy dark green arrow shaped foliage - easy to grow, consistent and uniform - tolerates some shade. FAC

Pontederia cordata pickerel rush 2' to 3' - Flowers June to September - Bright lavender flowers - easy to grow and long blooming. Sagittaria lancifolia bulltongue arrowhead 3' to 5' - Large lance shaped leaves that arch outward single white flowers are attached to long arching stems. Sagittaria latifolia broadleaf arrowhead 2' - Flowers July, August - delicate white flowers with bright yellow centers - strong, wide arrow shaped foliage. Salidag sempervirens seaside goldenrod Saururus cernuus lizard's tail 1' to 3' - Flowers July - delicate cream colored blossoms triangular green foliage - easy to grow Scirpus americanus three square rush Flowers June to September - erect triangular stems - birds eat seed. Scirpus cyperinus wool grass 4' to 5' - Flowers August, September - dense clumps persistent seed clusters.

Scirpus validus Spartina alternifolia Spartina patens salt meadow hay 1' to 3' - Good cover - shore erosion control - tolerates drought once established. Thalia dealbata water canna 6' - Flowers July to September - rich purple flowers atop narrow spikes above the foliage that sway gracefully in the breeze. Typha angustifolia narrow leafed cattail 6' - Flowers May, June - narrow dark blue-green leaves tolerates brackish water. Typha latifolia broad leaved cattail 6' - Flowers May, June. (FACW) Facultative: equally likely occur in wetlands or non-wetlands (estimated probability 34% - 66%). (FAC) Facultative Upland: usually occur in non-wetlands (estimated probability 67% - 99%), but occasionally found in wetland (estimated probability 1% - 33%).
