WE ARE A PIONEER BEER. WE ARE TYRIS It all began as an initiative of two friends that has continued to grow, but the driving force behind Tyris is still present today: our undertaking to create a beer that our city, Valencia, deserved. Tyris began as a journey of two university students and the first beer being produced in a garage. Today it has national and international presence in more than 8 countries, a production capacity exceeding 300,000 litres per year and an annual billing volume growth. The evolution of this project would not be possible without its creators, Gonzalo Abia and Dani Vara, and their two passions: passion for beer and their city.

THE JOURNEY: EVERYTHING BEGINS HERE Like every great story, Tyris begins with a discovery Dani Gonzalo Vara and Abia become acquainted in high school, in a neighbourhood of Valencia affected by the crisis and where most of its neighbours were unemployed after the factory closed of a well-known brewery. Although we should go a little further to understand the spin that would change everything. Dani and Gonzalo meet again a few years later in the faculty of Geography, where an Erasmus scholarship lands them in Germany. There they become fascinated with its beer culture and respect towards beer. The German brewing school is very old and respected. Its processes are very complex since they comply with the German beer Purity Law of 1516, which only allows the use of four ingredients to find distinct flavour profiles. It was magical for us to meet brewmasters passionate about the product and with very advanced knowledge in brewing. We encountered a homogenous brewing scenario in where flavour was not an issue; the only thing that mattered were the free beach umbrellas and not the content of the bottle. Upon their return to Valencia, they realised that the city was lacking a genuine quality beer so they got down to business, or better said, down to hops. They created their own factory, the Tap room, they asked friends for many favours, until they finally achieved it: produce a beer that Valencia deserved.

AUTHENTICITY OUR VALUES Since the beginning we ve wanted to downplay the issue. We always say that this is beer, anyone can do it at home, we don t believe in snobbism. For something sophisticated, there s already wine. The genuine thing, back to basics, highlight the essence of things, what is true. These are some of the concepts that define our microbrewery. CRAFTSMANSHIP We are a brand committed to what is artisanal, with everything that maintains the essence of the origins, that pays attention to details and that is handmade. IRREVERENCE Our beers have that touch of madness and rock star that very few have. CREATIVITY Creativity and continuous innovation is in Tyris DNA. Proof of this is our wide and varied range of beers, the result of creative restlessness and willingness of the creators to explore new territories of craft beer.

BEER, NO NONSENSE Water, malt, hops and yeast. That s all. Tyris was created with the clear objective of being an honest and quality beer. The elaboration process of our beer is slow and careful and one of our main hallmarks is the double fermentation in bottle. The first batches of Tyris were born in a garage, it was a blonde ale easy to drink and suitable for all audiences, but it made it clear that we were genuine beer that maintained the best of German beer culture. In this sense, our name perfectly reflects the mission of our project: Tyris is the Iberian name for the river of Valencia. Life is too short to drink boring beers However, beer is diverse and creative by definition, and we cannot make do with a single beer style. At Tyris we enjoy brewing beer and it s a challenge for us to achieve the best product. That s why we continue exploring new ingredients, challenging ourselves creatively and developing every day new recipes.

We like to show how we elaborate our beer, for this reason we open our doors to the public. Not all beer brands can do that.

FROM THE MOST TRADITIONAL FLAVOURS TO THE MOST UNEXPECTED TYRIS ORIGINAL Blonde Ale Mild maltose flavour with hints of grain and fruity esters. Fresh and floral German hops in the background. A medium dry to slight sweet after taste.

AU YEAH! American Pale Ale PAQUITA BROWN Brown Ale LEMONZILLA Fruit American Pale Ale VIPA English Indian Pale Ale AMOR AMARGO American Indian Pale Ale SMOKY PORTER English Porter Smoky The perfect combination between the sweetness of malt and the light citrus taste of hops. It has a caramel malt aroma, frequent citrus notes and, especially, characteristic American hops, in our case, Cascade. Good combination of sweetness and bitterness with a smooth, pleasant flavour but with character. It differs from its English relatives in the hopping rate: more aggressive and aromatic, completely changing the aromatic malt character to hops. Made with fresh Valencian orchard lemons that add a natural, fresh and long-lasting aroma enhanced by citrus hops. The bitterness lingers on the palate contrasting with the freshness of the citrus. Balanced beer with medium body, the bitterness of the hops is compensated by the sweetness provided by the caramel malts. Medium to high floral hops aroma, sometimes with a citrus, fruity or slightly herbal character. Powerful and almost unique American hops aroma, fresh and citric. Strong hops flavour, very bitter but compensated by the sweetness of the caramelised malt. The hop flavour is equivalent to its aroma. Smoky Porter is our stout beer, a Porter dominated by toasted flavours and aromas, and a distinctive smoky touch derived from its malt.

CCCP American IPA BLACK PUSSY PALACE Black Indian Pale Ale DIABLOS JOE! Red Indian Pale Ale An innovative American craft beer. Fresh and citric aroma. The malt takes second stage to the hops. A variation of the American IPA style. Dominated by a malt flavour accompanied by the bitterness of the hops. Produced with malts typically used in American Amber Ale. Hops aroma, traces of exotic fruit, mango, peach

LEADERS IN CRAFT BEER Our brand begins in 2009 with the aim of becoming the best craft beer in Valencia, but the acceptance and enthusiasm of our customers towards our product has made us achieve beer market presence on a national and international level. INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE: United States, New Zealand, China, Liberia, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy. CURRENT PRODUCTION CAPACITY LITRES/ YEAR: Exceeding 300,000 litres. In 2018, we plan to double production with the opening of a new factory.

PROUD OF OUR ORIGINS We love when things happen in our neighbourhoods and we re proud that our city is an interesting and lively space, where things take place; we sponsor concerts, festivals or any cultural or social initiative that make our city greater. We continue to expand to more countries and cities, but the bond with the city still remains a key pillar of our brand strategy. Therefore, our beer is actively involved in the city s social and cultural life, promoting art, music, sports and integrating ourselves in the different neighbourhood events. Tyris is proud of its origin and our challenge as a brand is that our city also be proud of its beer. In this sense, we have turned our Tap Room-located in the historical centre of Valencia-, into a landmark of the city and of its social and cultural life. We know that if the city is alive, our project will be too.

WE CONTINUE WORKING: THE FUTURE OF TYRIS We are determined to disseminate and educate on the culture of craft beer, so the consumer can appreciate a good beer s nuances. Consolidate our brand and associate it with Valencia s budding beer culture, promoting its growth and its roots, this is the future goal we have set for Tyris. As we are an ambitious brand, we are currently working to penetrate the national market with greater power and maintain relations with other European and American brewers, enjoying the experience and the creative challenge of exploring new brewing territories. Likewise, we want craft beer to be made known to the greatest number of people in the world, opening new markets from our position as leaders and pioneers. Because growing means taking on new responsibilities, from Tyris we ll continue to disseminate beer culture through a didactic approach that enables the consumer to appreciate and enjoy the nuances of craft beer.
