Graphical Overview of exports in India under ch. 29 during January 2013 from around the Globe Organic Chemical-Export senario: Organic chemical is a major contributor to exports from the chemical industry and its share in total chemical exports is approx 32% which contributed in more than One billion dollars foreign exchange to India, exports of organic chemicals in volume terms increased each fiscal year as also each month.exports of organic chemical from India is from almost 13 Sea Ports,16Icds and 8 major Air ports where JNPT was the biggest player in exports of organic chemical from India during the month of Jan2013. Among organic chemicals, exports of cyclic hydrocarbons,menthol, Ethers etc. has increased consistently year by year. In terms of shares of exports, majority of organic chemicals from India are exported to Asia, which excludes exports to the Middle East. To illusrate nearly 60% exports of Menthol was to China and other neighbouring countries.within Asia, during FY12-FY13, China, Pakistan, Indonesia, South Korea, and Singapore were the main export markets. Among these five countries, India has a free trade agreement with Singapore and Pakistan, while it has a preferential trade agreement with China and South Korea.Next to Aisa,Europe and the Americas are the other major destinations for organic chemicals exports from India. In the Americas, the US, Canada, and Brazil are the major markets for Indian organic chemical exports and India has preferential trade agreements with these countries. USA was also the biggest consumer of organic chemicals from India which accounted for more than 5 billions in value terms during Jan2013. Trade Outlook: The value of exports of organic chemicals from India to the world grew at a CAGR of 23% during FY011-FY12.
