We took cider apples from the back orchard overlooking the Bluebell Railway at Cockhaise Mill Farm to recreate this 2014 classic. We picnicked with the children right on the edge of the railway with steam trains whistling by. The extra sun helped this batch turn out a little stronger than last year. A hodgepodge of apples swapped for cider from orchards and gardens around the village. Picked and pressed with friends. We've no idea which varieties go in to this, yet every year OMFF echo's the flavour of previous years. We can only make this every other year, as the perry trees fruit biannually. It s been a year since we had any of this.
