Rodings Primary School Newsletter www.scopay.com/rodingspri.essex for on-line payments 17/11/2017 Dear Parents and Carers The children were lucky to have a visit from Dr Mark Galloway who came along with his planetarium on Wednesday. All the classes, children and staff, visited and were amazed and learnt lots about the endless possibilities of the universe. We hope the children came home with lots of information to share with you from the day. Thank you to Dr Galloway for a fantastic experience. As you will see later in the newsletter, we had a very good uptake for our National School Meals Week. A big well done to the lunchtime staff for providing over 900 meals this week. The children thoroughly enjoyed their menu choices for the week. Our Christmas festivities start next week with our Christmas Craft Fair - we do hope you are able to join us. Kind regards Mr Raraty Headteacher

Non uniform day, Christmas jumpers encouraged! Friday 24th November Each year we ask children from Years 1-6 to bring in tombola prizes and Reception to bring in cakes in exchange for non uniform. This is to support the Christmas Craft Fair later that day. Bag2School Thank you all for your support for our Bag2School campaign. We raised an amazing 240 from all the bags collected. THANK YOU Following on from Mr Crawley's head shave back in June, the male members of staff at Rodings Primary School, Mr Raraty, Mr Crawley, Mr Wright, Mr Brown and Mr Clements, will be growing some impressive facial hair to help raise money for local and national cancer charities. We currently have an amazing 105 which is 26% of our target. Thank you to those of you who have already donated. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/rodingsmovember Thank you. Mr Clements has said that if you all donate more than 400 by 29th November he will dye his moustache RODINGS RED for the afternoon of the 30th! So please get Donating :-)
