History and Essence
1890 Foundation of Viña Casablanca winery in Curicó by the Dussaillant family, owner of the biggest Chilean winery of the mid 20th century. 1990 Carolina Wine Brands bought Viña Casablanca brand. Foundation of Casablanca Valley as the first cool climate Chilean valley. 1991 Purchase of 55 ha. in the Casablanca Valley coldest area, 18km away from the Pacific Ocean, and the first vineyards of Nimbus Estate are planted. 1994 First Viña Casablanca wines from Casablanca valley. 2002 First vintage of Neblus, first icon wine of Viña Casablanca. 2010 Plantation of 7ha. Pinot Noir and 4.5ha. Syrah on the western hills of Nimbus Estate. 2011 Joint-Venture with Laroche from AdVini, one of the most prestigious wine groups from France. With this strategic alliance a boutique winery and Cefiro Estate, both located in Casablanca Valley, completed the project. 2012 History First vintage winemade in Casablanca Valley. 2013 First vintage of Gonzalo Bertelsen as Chief Winemaker and General Manager. 2014 First vintage of Pinot del Cerro, second icon wine. 2015 Big investment to expand and improve the capacity of the winery.

Winemaking Philosophy
Winemaking Philosophy We focus on the production of cool-climate varieties as Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Gewürztraminer from the Casablanca valley under the Single Vineyard concept. For classic varieties like Carmenère Cabernet Sauvignon Pinot Noir Merlot Syrah we prefer Chile s long-established wine valleys that further the elegant style of our wines. Our strategically designed vineyards make the most of the diversity of our terroir to produce wines that speak of the attributes of the Casablanca valley and faithfully portray the characteristic elegance of Viña Casablanca wines.
Winemaking Philosophy Every lot in our vineyards is managed in order to reach the results we seek for each range of wines and to control the yields that will enable us to achieve greater concentration. The grapes for our ultra premium wines are handpicked and selected manually before transferring them to the winery. Each lot is vinified separately and fermentation takes place in small open-top tanks and, a smaller portion, in barrels. Viña Casablanca wines signature freshness and concentration is the result of careful management of the vineyard and rigorous vinification. Naturally well balanced, our wines boast punch and fruit, without excessive alcohol levels or overripe fruit flavors. These wines have been crafted to achieve great aging potential and consistent elegance across the portfolio.

Neblus is a curious walker that chases the clouds of the Chilean skies in search of the best terroirs to give birth to the finest wines. While on this quest, Neblus came upon the hillsides of the Casablanca valley, where the sun and the fresh breeze from the Pacific Ocean meet with an exceptional soil, and without hesitation he decided that it was the ideal spot where to grow our icon wine. Neblus is unique and sublime, a concentrated and elegant coolclimate Syrah that takes you to unexpected places.
A Pinot Noir from vineyards that defy the steep slopes in our Nimbus Estate Pinot del Cerro is a limited edition. It s first vintage 2014 is a collection of just 1300 bottles. The conditions found on the slopes of the hills of our Nimbus Estate allow us to produce the highest quality Pinot Noirs, with a distinctive delicate profile that stand out for their unique freshness, elegance and amazing floral notes.

This Sparkling Brut Blanc de Blancs is produced using Charmat method, with 100% Chardonnay grapes from Nimbus Estate in the Casablanca valley.
Late Harvest An amazing wine to be enjoyed with desserts and fruit This Late Harvest is mostly composed of Sauvignon Blanc but it also has a touch of Gewürztraminer and Riesling that will help to reach the perfect mix of elegance and sweetness. It has a natural sweetness gained by harvesting late. It also shows the outstanding acidity of the white wines from Casablanca valley, which balance the wine.
