WSA Monthly Crude Steel Production - World February s global annualized crude steel production was at the 1.664 billion tonne rate, and 1.626 billion tonne rate on a trailing twelve month basis, compared to a revised 1.575 (and 1.624) billion tonnes in the preceding month and 1.643 (and 1.587) billion tonnes in the year ago period. China crude steel production was at the 848 million tonne rate, and 810 million tonne rate on a trailing twelve month basis, compared to 771 (and 807) million tonnes in the preceding month and 809 (and 807) million tonnes in the year ago period. The world excluding China crude steel production was at the 816 million tonne rate, and 816 million tonne rate on a trailing twelve month basis, compared to a revised 804 (and 817) million tonnes in the preceding month and 834 (and 807) million tonnes in the year ago period. EU (27) crude steel production was at the 178 million tonne rate, and 169 million tonne rate on a trailing twelve month basis, compared to revised 168 (and 169) million tonnes in the preceding month and 181 (and 169) million tonnes in the year ago period. AISI Weekly Crude Steel Production Weekly crude steel production was 1.628 million tons for the week ending March 28, down 10.6% versus the year ago. On a twelve month moving average basis, it was 1.825 million tons (for an 85.4 million ton finished ton annualized rate) compared to 1.848 million tons in the year ago period (for a 86.5 million ton finished ton annualized rate).
