The Charger Chronicles Immaculate Conception School Parent Newsletter April 1, 2013 Volume 2 Issue 9 From the Principal Dear Parents and Guardians, Easter is right around the corner! Time flies by so quickly! It seems like yesterday we started the new school year. During the past weeks we have witnessed some historical moments: the resignation of Pope Benedict; a model of humility, the Conclave; a model of collaboration and openness to the Holy Spirit, and the election of Pope Francis; a model of simplicity, joy, and love for the poor. We live in very exciting times! As leader of our Church we can learn so much from Pope Francis. Our Pope is a man who lives his faith by recognizing every person as sacred. Our Pope is a man who lives his faith in service of the poor. Our Pope is a man who lives faith by practicing humility in all he does. Our Pope is a man we can be proud of as he leads his flock with love, compassion and humility. As parents you can invite your children to pray for our Holy Father; only with God's help can he fulfill his important mission. You can also gather some information from magazines or the internet about our new Pope so our young people can take an active part in this historical moment. I take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy, Holy celebration of Easter. Rest assured of my love and my prayers for all of you. HE IS RISEN ALLELUIA!
