The work will be on display for County Hall visitors and employees until the October half term. Pictures show the range and diversity of outstanding work which more than held its own against GCSE work displayed by another school. Around 30 students work is exhibited...a huge congratulations to those whose work was selected! Mr Wadwell, Miss Poole and Miss Ridout EARLY CLOSURE FRIDAY, 21 JULY 2017 School will finish at 1.00 pm next Friday for the summer break. YEAR 9 TALENT SHOW 2017 On Thursday, 29 June 2017, the year 9s gathered in the main hall for the annual end of KS3 talent show. It was a chance for us all to show our talents to our peers and the teachers around us. We did the talent show to celebrate the end of KS3 and all we had achieved in Years 7, 8 and 9. Every form had to enter at least one act to perform on stage. A variety of acts included dance routines, singing and a parody of three songs from the film Grease. The judges enjoyed all of the acts and had a tough time deciding the winner. Mr Wincott, Miss Taylor, Miss Trusler and one of our governors, Mrs Wood, were all part of the judging panel. The acts were being judged on form participation, originality, performance and star quality. Before the winner was announced, awards were given out to students in each form group. They included: Most Likely to Meet Royalty, Most Likely to Become Prime Minister and Most Likely to be on a Reality TV Show. The award winners were decided by the form tutors and it was a fun way to end Year 9. After the awards had been given out, the judges came back into the hall with their final decision on which form was the winner. Mrs Gower s form 9G1 won with their news report on everything that had happened in the world this school year. It was a funny performance and everyone in the form had pulled together to make it a very memorable act. But at a close second was Mr Graham s form 9B1 with their Grease parody. Mrs Gower was very pleased to beat Mr Graham for the second time this year! Overall it was an excellent way to end KS3 and celebrate our achievements across our first three years in secondary school. It was great fun and was enjoyed by all students and teachers. Thank you to Ms Peaty and the form tutors for organizing the talent show and a special thanks to Miss Trusler for being our head of KS3 for the past three years. We re looking forward to moving up to KS4 next year and continuing our journey at Sandon. It was very memorable and overall a great experience.
