Plain Ales (Salisbury) Innspiration (ABV 4.0% - Copper) It is a bitter with just enough power and complexity to make it interesting and yet enough restraint and simplicity to make it an easy drinking beer for all occasions. A special blend of malts delivers an initial depth of flavour to this rich copper coloured beer, closely followed by a delicate bitterness and hints of wild berries, blackcurrants and herbal bouquet from the selected hops. This is an ale by which to be truly inspired.
Plain Ales (Salisbury) Sheep Dip (ABV 3.8% - Amber) It s a bit different, with a zesty start tending to a dry hoppy finish, but also a great fresh session beer, with a low ABV. We based the flavours on the bracken and heathers of Hardy s Moorlands. We doubt Gabriel Oak ever saw a sheep like this one though! Ramsbury Brewery (Wiltshire) Festival IPA (ABV 4.7% - IPA) This is a brand new IPA from Ramsbury Brewery. So new we don t have tasting notes, but being an IPA it s likely to be a well hopped ale that boasts a fruity citrus finish. Ramsbury Brewery are well known from producing great quality beers, so give this one a try we reckon it ll be worth the gamble. RCH Brewery (North Somerset) Old Slug Porter (ABV 4.5% - Porter) In the old brewery we had a problem with slugs getting into the brewery. As the beer leaves a trail down the glass as you drink it like a slug, that's how the beer was named. A delicious traditional porter with a full bodied taste of chocolate, coffee, blackcurrant and black cherry with a good aroma. A near black colour with a good white head when served through a tight sparkler. Old Slug Porter won a silver medal at the 1998 Brewing Industry International Awards.
RCH Brewery (North Somerset) Pitchfork (ABV 4.3% - Golden) The name comes from the Pitchfork rebellion of 1685 the last battle to be fought on English soil of the Civil War. A golden bitter with floral citric hop aroma. It has a hoppy predominate taste which is slightly sweet and fruity and leaves you wanting more. Pitchfork was judged to be the Best Bitter of the Year in 1998 at the Great British Beer Festival and has been a finalist in the last three years.
