Welcome! A little bit about us Since 1992, Thai Orchid Restaurant has served fresh, flavorful, and healthy Thai food in the Portland, Salem and Vancouver area. Former owner and Executive Chef Prapapen Saenguraiporn created a menu to offer the finest authentic Thai dishes outside of Bangkok. Thai Orchid offers over 50 dishes, many with a choice of meat or a vegetarian option and various styles to meet of the northwest palate while maintaining authenticity. Today Prakit Hanidhikul, friend of founder of Thai Orchid Restaurant and his son, is now the owner of the Salem location. He brings his restaurant experience in cooking, serving customers and managing staff in Thailand to manage Thai Orchid Salem.
