Included in this group are four Jeffries Nurseries introductions: Gemini Apple, Skyfest Poplar and two mums for the prairies, Dreamweaver and Skycatcher. The new chrysanthemums from our company s breeding program are the first new mums to be introduced from prairie breeding in over 20 years. They represent the first releases in our Fireworks Series. The front cover showcases another new variety, Morden Belle Rose. Morden Belle is the latest in the Parkland series, a group of hardy shrub roses developed at the Agriculture Canada Research Station in Morden, MB. Foliage is green and stems are reddish-brown. Golden Willow Salix alba 'Vitellina The fastest growing of the willows. Its branches turn colour from bright yellow to golden as they mature and are very attractive in the winter. European Mountain Ash Sorbus aucuparia Large panicles of creamy-white flowers are followed by orange-red berries in autumn. The foliage turns red in the fall. Russian Mountain Ash Sorbus aucuparia 'Rossica', pyramidal A selection of European Mountain Ash with large, dark green leaves with more regular teeth, a dense crown and showy fruit.
